Myanmar Radio and Television, formerly the Burma Broadcasting Service (BBS), is the parent of the state-run Myanmar Radio National Service and the MRTV television channel. The television channels are broadcasting from its broadcast center in Kamayut, Yangon while the radio service is now broadcasting primarily from Naypyidaw. MRTV's television signals reaches 92.7% of the Myanmar population, while its radio coverage reaches 100% of the country.

MRTV-4 is a Burmese television channel jointly operated by MRTV and the Forever Group. Launched in May 2004, the channel broadcasts between 7 am and 11 pm. Since that time, it is only available to viewers with satellite or terrestrial DVB-T decoders. Now, they broadcast 24 hours and also available in OTT platform, PyonePlay.

Myanmar Idol is a popular Myanmar singing contest television series that is broadcast on MNTV. Its first season, in 2015, was described by The Myanmar Times as a "wild success". AP1 TV is a television channel based in Kathmandu, Nepal owned by Annapurna Media Network, the publishers of Annapurna Post. It was launched on March 31, 2017. Fortune TV is a Burmese digital Free-to-Air TV channel that run under MRTV's Multiplex Playout System based in Yangon, Myanmar. Fortune TV is operated by Fortune Group. They have signed a cooperation agreement with state-run Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) to operate as content providers for digital free-to-air TV channels in a multi-playout system of MRTV on 17 February 2018. The trial was broadcast on 12 February 2019 and 4 days later on 16 February, they launched the channel officially. They broadcast entertainment as well as information and knowledge program from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight. Fortune are also providing quality infotainment content on the FTA and OTT platforms.
YTV is a Burmese digital Free-to-Air TV channel that run under MRTV's Multiplex Playout System based in Yangon, Myanmar. YTV is operated by MY Multimedia Co., Ltd that part of Young Investment Group Co., Ltd. They have signed a cooperation agreement with MRTV to operate as content providers for digital free-to-air TV channels in a multi-playout system of MRTV. The trial was broadcast on 14 January 2019. On 14 February, they launched the channel officially. The channel broadcasts 24 hours a day now.

They have signed a cooperation agreement with state-run Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) to operate as content providers for digital free-to-air TV channels in a multi-playout system of MRTV on 17 February 2018. Due to the 2021 military coup, television programming are cut off from MRTV Digital Multiplex.

Myanmar National Television (MNTV) is a Burmese free-to-air television channel. MNTV was founded by Shwe Thanlwin and operated by Dream Vision Co.,Ltd. Launched on 1 October 2012, the channel was broadcast only on Skynet DTH. On 15 May 2014, it was broadcast as free-to-air channel. Its headquarters are located in 139/171/A, Lower Pazundaung Road, Botataung Township, Yangon.
