Two listings, the New York State Barge Canal and the Cobblestone Historic District, are further designated a National Historic Landmark.
New York State Route 319 (NY 319) was a state highway in Chenango County, New York, in the United States. It was 5.47 miles (8.80 km) long and connected the hamlet of Preston to the nearby city of Norwich. The route began in the hamlet at an intersection with three county-maintained highways and proceeded eastward through the town of Preston to downtown Norwich, where it terminated at an intersection with NY 12.
Yates County Courthouse Park District is a national historic district located at Penn Yan in Yates County, New York. The district consists of two acres and contains the Yates County Courthouse, First Baptist Church, the County Office Building, the Old Jail, and the Courthouse Park. The park includes a Civil War monument to the 2,109 county soldiers who served in the war.
The Old Post Office and Courthouse is a historic courthouse and former post office located at 157 Genesee Street in Auburn, New York. It was built in 1888–1890 and was designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Mifflin E. Bell, in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The limestone-and-brick building was expanded in 1913–1914, designed by James M. Elliot, and again in 1937. It serves as a courthouse of the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. The massive, asymmetrical, 2+1⁄2-story main block (1888) includes a 3-story tower at the southwest corner, a 2+1⁄2-story stair tower, and two massive Richardsonian Romanesque–style entrances.
Railroad Terminal Historic District is a national historic district in Binghamton in Broome County, New York. The district includes 19 contributing buildings. Four of the buildings were directly related to Binghamton's rail passenger and freight operations, including the passenger station. Five buildings were built as warehouses, and ten were built to house retail activities with residential or office uses on the upper floors. The buildings were built between 1876 and 1910, with a major addition to one of them completed in 1932. This Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad passenger station, with its Italian Renaissance campanile, was built in 1901. For most years of passenger service to Binghamton, Delaware and Hudson Railway and Erie Railroad trains used a different station 150 yards away.
Jefferson County Courthouse Complex is a courthouse complex and national historic district located at Watertown in Jefferson County, New York. The district includes three contributing buildings; the courthouse building (1862), Clerk's Office (1883–1884) and Surrogate's Office (1905). The courthouse building is a two-story, red brick structure with limestone trim. It features a three-story tower on the northwest corner. It was designed by architect Horatio Nelson White.
Methodist-Episcopal Church of Norwich is a historic Methodist Episcopal church located at 74 N. Broad Street in Norwich, Chenango County, New York. It was designed by architect Isaac G. Perry and built 1873–1875. It is a large, two story brick structure, generally rectangular in shape with a cross gabled transept. The front facade features two engaged towers with a large, central round arched entrance. The north tower is surmounted by a 115-foot octagonal spire. The south tower includes a belfry and 190 foot spire.
White Store Church and Evergreen Cemetery is a national historic district containing a historic meetinghouse and cemetery at the junction of New York State Route 8 and White Store Road, 4 miles south of South New Berlin in Norwich, Chenango County, New York. The district includes two contributing buildings, one contributing site, and seven contributing structures. The property consists of the cemetery established in 1805 and a Federal style frame church completed in 1820. Also on the property is a small maintenance shed and privy. The church is a simple, two story frame structure with a gable roof, measuring 40 feet wide and 46 feet deep. The cemetery contains approximately 400 burials, with the earliest stones dated to 1795.
Gansevoort–Bellamy Historic District is a national historic district located at Rome in Oneida County, New York, USA. The district includes ten contributing buildings, two contributing structures and two contributing objects. Located within the district are the former Rome City Hall, U.S. Post Office, Oneida County Courthouse and St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Delaware County Courthouse Square District is a national historic district located at Delhi in Delaware County, New York. The district contains 18 contributing buildings and one contributing structure. It consists of a distinctive and unspoiled grouping of 19th century governmental, commercial, and religious structures built around the village green. It includes the county courthouse and clerk's office, the sheriff's office and jail, and a bandstand. It also includes the buildings surrounding the green. The 2+1⁄2-story brick courthouse building was designed by Isaac G. Perry and features a mansard roof. Also within the district are the Presbyterian church (1831) and Bank building (1838).
Earlville Historic District is a national historic district located at Earlville in Chenango and Madison County, New York. The district contains 164 contributing buildings. It includes the commercial area at the center of the village and residential areas on the main thoroughfares and two side streets. Most of the buildings in the district were built between 1880 and 1920. Located within the district is the separately listed Earlville Opera House.
North Broad Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Norwich in Chenango County, New York. The district has 41 contributing buildings. It includes an area of detached residences in a variety of popular 19th- and 20th-century architectural styles.
Sherburne Historic District is a national historic district located at Sherburne in Chenango County, New York. The district includes 119 contributing buildings and one contributing structure. The district contains four areas: the commercial district, the South Main Street neighborhood, the William Champ Park and environs, and the East State Street residential area. The district includes commercial, academic, industrial, and residential properties. Among the notable structures are the Sherburne Bank Building, Sanford Block, Sherburne Inn (1917), Congregational Church, and Sherburne Public Library.
Main Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Afton in Chenango County, New York. The district includes 11 contributing buildings. All but one of the buildings are two or three story commercial blocks built between 1868 and 1900.
Greene Historic District is a national historic district located at Greene in Chenango County, New York.
Oxford Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Oxford in Chenango County, New York. The district includes 201 contributing buildings and seven contributing structures. It encompasses the village's historic core and includes commercial, residential, civic, and ecclesiastical buildings. Among the notable buildings are the First National Bank of Oxford building (1894), James Clarke House building, Baptist Church, and Gerritt Van Wagenen house (1824). Located within the district are the separately listed Theodore Burr House and US Post Office-Oxford.
New Berlin Historic District is a national historic district located at New Berlin in Chenango County, New York. The district includes 118 contributing buildings. It encompasses the village's historic core and includes commercial, residential, civic, ecclesiastical, and railroad related buildings. Among the notable buildings are the Central Hotel, National Bank and Trust Building, First Baptist Church (1840), St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Municipal Building, and New Berlin Central High School. Also located within the district is the separately listed Horace O. Moss House.
South Otselic Historic District is a national historic district located at South Otselic in Chenango County, New York. The district includes 60 contributing buildings. It encompasses the hamlet's historic core and includes commercial, residential, ecclesiastical, and industrial buildings. Among the notable buildings are the Methodist Church, Gladding Corporation factory and office (1895), J. Brown Grist Mill, Noonan's Blacksmith Shop (1870), Cox Block, and Dew Drop Building. Notable residences include the Octagon House and the Queen Anne style Former Gladding Mansion.
US Post Office-Norwich is a historic post office building located at Norwich in Chenango County, New York, United States. It was built in 1932–1933, and is one of a number of post offices in New York State built by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department. It was designed by architect George Ketcham of Syracuse. It is a one-story brick building ornamented with elaborate cast stone details in the Colonial Revival style. It is located within the Chenango County Courthouse District.
