Chilean frigate Almirante Condell (PFG-06) was a Condell-class frigate of the Chilean Navy, and was the third ship in the Chilean Navy to bear this name.

She is a modified Leander-class frigate ordered by the Chilean government on 14 January 1970 as an ASW frigate, together with Almirante Lynch. [2] The class was built between 1969 and 1973, under Chilean modifications at Yarrow Shipbuilders in Scotstoun, Glasgow. Almirante Condell was delivered to Chile in 1973. She was decommissioned on 11 December 2007.

In March 2008, she was sold to Ecuador, along with her sister ship Almirante Lynch, and renamed BAE Eloy Alfaro (FM 01). Both ships were handed over to the Navy of Ecuador on 18 April 2008. [3]

HMAS Melbourne was an Adelaide-class guided-missile frigate of the Royal Australian Navy, which entered service in 1992. Melbourne has been deployed to the Persian Gulf on several occasions, and served as part of the INTERFET peacekeeping taskforce in 2000. On 26 October 2019, Melbourne was decommissioned from the RAN, subsequently being transferred to Chile. The ship was commissioned into the Chilean Navy as Almirante Latorre on 15 April 2020.

BAPAlmirante Grau(CLM-81) is a De Zeven Provinciën-class cruiser that served in the Dutch and Peruvian navies. Completed for the Dutch in 1953 as HNLMS De Ruyter (C801), she was acquired by Peru in 1973 and served as fleet flagship. Almirante Grau underwent a major modernization program between 1985 and 1988 during which she was fitted with new weapons and electronics. She was the last gun cruiser in service in any navy before being decommissioned on 26 September 2017. In 2019, it was to be said that she would be preserved as a museum ship. However, it was later announced on 14 February 2022 that the ship would put up for sale with an asking price of 4,180,000 soles.

The Condell class was the name given to a class of two new build and upgraded type Leander-class frigates of the Chilean Navy, Almirante Condell and Almirante Lynch. They were ordered by the Chilean government in 1969 as ASW frigates. The ships were built between 1969 and 1973, under Chilean modifications, by Yarrow (Shipbuilders) Ltd. in Scotstoun, Glasgow. Almirante Condell arrived in Chile in 1973, with Almirante Lynch following in 1974.

HNLMS Kortenaer (F807) was a frigate of the Kortenaer class. The ship was in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy from 1978 to 1997 and today serves as HS Kountouriotis with the Hellenic Navy. The frigate was initially named after Dutch naval hero Egbert Bartholomeusz Kortenaer and then after Pavlos Kountouriotis, distinguished Admiral of the Hellenic Navy, responsible for Greek naval victories in the Aegean Sea that secured the Aegean for Greece during the First Balkan War. The ship's radio call sign was "PADA".

The Almirante Lynch class was a pair of two torpedo gunboats, Almirante Lynch and Almirante Condell, ordered for the Chilean Navy in the late 1880s.

Chilean torpedo gunboat <i>Almirante Simpson</i>

Almirante Simpson was a unique design of torpedo gunboat, built by the British shipyard Laird Brothers. Acquired by the Chilean Navy in 1895, during construction. The ship had a brief service in Chile, being transferred to the Ecuadorian Navy in 1907 and renamed Libertador Bolívar. She was the first Ecuadorian warship of the 20th century and had an important participation in the Ecuadorian Civil War of 1913–1916. After the war, the ship was retired and then sank in 1928.
