Chris Chugunov (born September 12, 1996) is a former American football quarterback for Ohio State. He played high school football at Montgomery High School in Skillman, New Jersey.

High school career

Playing at Montgomery High School, Chugunov committed to West Virginia in 2014. He finished high school career with 6,308 passing yards, 47 touchdowns and 16 interceptions with five games of 300 yards or more and was ranked the No. 27 player in New Jersey by ESPN. [1]

Chugunov chose West Virginia over Western Michigan, Towson, Delaware and William & Mary. [2]

College career

In 2015, Chugunov redshirted. As a redshirt freshman at West Virginia, Chugunov played in three games, completing only two passes. His debut game was against Missouri in 2016. The following year, he served as the primary backup behind Will Grier. He got the starting nod during two games during that season against Texas and Oklahoma.

Following the 2017 season, Chugunov decided to transfer to Ohio State, after he had graduated from WVU with a bachelor's in business. [3] [4]

The 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented Ohio State University during the 2002 NCAA Division I-A football season. The team was the first in NCAA Division I-A—now known as NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS)—history to finish its season at 14–0 following BYU's 14–1 season in 1996. Led by co-MVPs junior quarterback Craig Krenzel and sophomore wide receiver/cornerback Chris Gamble, freshman standout tailback Maurice Clarett, and senior safety Mike Doss, the Buckeyes won the Big Ten, then won the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, which was also the 2003 BCS National Championship Game, to finish as college football's national champions for the first time since 1968.

The 1987 John Hancock Sun Bowl was the 54th annual Sun Bowl. The contest featured the West Virginia Mountaineers and the 11th-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys. Oklahoma State edged out West Virginia, 35–33. The game was decided with 1:13 to play. The game was played on snowy, cold Christmas Day of 1987 before a crowd of 43,240 in front of a CBS national television audience.

Chris Todd is a former college football quarterback for the Auburn Tigers in 2008 and 2009. He was Auburn's starting quarterback for part of the 2008 season and for the entire 2009 season. He set all-time Auburn school records for most touchdown passes in a season and for the longest pass in school history. He also tied the Auburn single-game record with five touchdown passes against Ball State in 2009.
