Green Day is an American rock band formed in the East Bay of California in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, with drummer Tré Cool joining in 1990. In 1994, their major-label debut Dookie, released through Reprise Records, became a breakout success and eventually shipped over 10 million copies in the U.S. Alongside fellow California punk bands Bad Religion, the Offspring, Rancid, NOFX, Pennywise and Social Distortion, Green Day is credited with popularizing mainstream interest in punk rock in the U.S.
Geoffrey Ernest Emerick was an English sound engineer and record producer who worked with the Beatles on their albums Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967) and Abbey Road (1969). Beatles producer George Martin credited him with bringing "a new kind of mind to the recordings, always suggesting sonic ideas, different kinds of reverb, what we could do with the voices".

Michael Shipley was an Australian mixing engineer, audio engineer, and record producer. Shipley's music career spanned more than 30 years – mostly working in Los Angeles. At the Grammy Awards of 2012 he won the Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical category for his joint work on Paper Airplane, by Alison Krauss and Union Station. Shipley died in July 2013, aged 56, of an apparent suicide.

Chris Lord-Alge is an American mix engineer. He is the brother of both Tom Lord-Alge and Jeff Lord-Alge, both of whom are also audio engineers. Chris and Tom are known for their abundant use of dynamic compression for molding mixes that play well on small speakers and FM radio. Lord-Alge frequently collaborates with Howard Benson, who has produced the plurality of his mix discography.
Ultrasonic Studios was a music recording studio in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The studio was located on Washington Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood near Xavier University. It was established in 1977 by Jay Gallager and George Hallowell. The studio was sold to the two Grammy Engineers, David Farrell and Steve Reynolds, who ran the day-to-day operations. They co-owned the studio. In 2005, the studio suffered major damage from the levee failure disaster flood during Hurricane Katrina, and has not been back in operation since. According to Jay Gallager in a 2007 interview, the building has knocked down following the hurricane. There are no plans to rebuild the building or restore the studio elsewhere. Farrell and Reynolds have moved on to other career paths.

Steve Chadie is an audio engineer who has worked extensively with Willie Nelson. His recordings with Nelson include vocals and guitar on “Last Man Standing”, “My Way”, “God’s Problem Child”, “Willie Nelson and The Boys”, and “Summertime-Willie Nelson sings Gershwin”. Other credits with Willie include tracking engineer on "Heroes”, "Let's Face The Music And Dance”, “Django And Jimmie” and mixing on "December Day", a collection of work he recorded with Willie and his sister Bobbie in between touring on impromptu sessions that date as far back as 2004. Steve has been awarded a double platinum record for Los Lonely Boys "Heaven" and was nominated for a grammy for the song "Heaven", as well. He has recorded and/or mixed five Los Lonely Boys records since their debut release. Other awards include a triple platinum record for work done on Sublime's "Sublime" and a platinum record for work on Hilary Duff's self titled recording "Hilary Duff", In addition he has been awarded a gold record for work done on Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Live On" CD.
Khaliq Glover popularly known as Khaliq-O-Vision, is a Grammy award winning recording mix engineer, producer and the author of Secrets: How The Stars Make Music IRRESISTIBLE!. Khaliq is the recipient of the 2001 Grammy Award for M² (album) by Marcus Miller under the Best Contemporary Jazz Album. He pursued his education in music at Dick Grove School Of Music.
