Christopher Dahl (born August 26, 1946) served as president of the State University of New York at Geneseo from 1996 to 2014. He was the 12th person to hold the college presidency and was preceded by Carol Harter and succeeded by Denise Battles.

Dahl was born in Brattleboro, Vermont. He earned an A.B. in English from Harvard College in 1968 and a Ph.D. in English Literature from Yale University in 1978. His dissertation research was on the Victorian periodical. In addition to many scholarly articles, Dahl published a book [1] on author and lawyer Louis Auchincloss, which one reviewer called "the first full-length critical study" of Auchincloss's work. [2] Dahl represents Geneseo as a board member of the American Council on Education. Previously, he served on the boards of the Association of American Colleges and Universities and the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC). [3]

Throughout his presidency, Dahl remained very active in campus life and even taught an undergraduate course on the British Romantics every other fall semester. [4]

On March 14, 2013, Dahl announced his retirement as Geneseo's President, effective June 30, 2014. [5]

Harding was born in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, and received his B.S. from Bridgewater State College in 1939, M.A. from the University of North Carolina in 1947 and a Ph. D. from Rutgers University in 1950.

John R. Keene Jr. is a writer, translator, professor, and artist who was named a MacArthur Fellow in 2018. He is a recipient of a 2022 Lambda Literary Award for his poetry collection, Punks: New and Selected Poems.

James Wright was an American writer and academic administrator who was the President of Dartmouth College and the Eleazar Wheelock Professor of History at Dartmouth. The 16th President in the Wheelock Succession, he served as Dartmouth president from 1998 until 2009. He joined the Dartmouth History Department in 1969 and served as dean of faculty from 1989 to 1997 and as provost from 1997 to 1998. Wright received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville and a masters and doctoral degree in history from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He died at his home in Hanover, New Hampshire, on October 10, 2022.
