The Conference of Bishops of Slovakia (Konferencia biskupov Slovenska) (KBS), was established on 23 March 1993, and is composed of the Catholic bishops in active service (both Latin and Byzantine rite) in the Slovak Republic. [1] [2]

The bishops gather together to clarify the form and manner of the apostolic activities in Slovakia. They gather and act in accordance with various Church laws which take into account local circumstances (cf. c. 447 and 449, § 1 CIC).
The conference is based on the law itself have legal personality (cf. c. 449, § 2 CIC).
The conference includes all diocesan bishops of the Slovak Republic and according to their rights on a par with the position, and coadjutor bishops, auxiliary bishops and other titular bishops who are in that territory or outside it perform a specific task entrusted to them the Apostolic See or the Episcopal Conference of the common good of the country (cf. c. 450, § 1 CIC).
Emeritus Bishops are not members of the Episcopal Conference of Slovakia, but may be invited as consultors of several plenary sessions and to be members of some episcopal commissions. The sessions and committees include: Plenary Session, the Permanent Council General Secretariat, Council for Economic Affairs and the Committee and the Conference Board provided for a defined purpose (cf. c. 451, CIC), according to the Statute of the Slovak Bishops' Conference adopted on 21 6th 2000, Art. 1 to 4.

Monsignor Alojz Tkáč was a Slovak Roman Catholic prelate. He was the bishop of Košice from 1990 to 1995, the first archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Košice from 1995 to 2010 and archbishop emeritus until his death.

The Diocese of Banská Bystrica is a Latin Church diocese of th Catholic Church in central Slovakia. Its seat is in Banská Bystrica. On Tuesday 20 November 2012, according to biographical information in a press release from the Holy See Press Office's Vatican Information Service (VIS), Pope Benedict XVI appointed Auxiliary Bishop Marián Chovanec of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nitra, Titular Bishop of Massita, as Bishop-elect of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Banská Bystrica. Bishop Chovanec was born on 16 September 1957 in Trenčin, Slovakia, a part of the Diocese of Nitra. He was expelled from the Seminary in Bratislava, Slovakia, because he had refused to cooperate with the Government-backed Association "Pacem in Terris". He then worked as a laborer. After seven years, he was able to conclude his theological studies and be ordained a priest in 1989; he became an Auxiliary Bishop of Nitra in 1999 and Vicar General in 2003 and is active in the Slovak Bishops' Conference.
The Archdiocese of Trnava is a Latin Catholic archdiocese in western Slovakia including bigger part of the Trnava, and parts of Nitra and Trenčín regions. It has its seat in Trnava. Although it is an archdiocese, it is not a metropolitan and is instead a suffragan of Bratislava. In 2013 Pope Francis appointed Auxiliary Bishop Ján Orosch as the next Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Trnava.
The Archeparchy of Prešov is an archeparchy of the Slovak Greek Catholic Church which is an Eastern Catholic particular church of the Catholic Church that is in full communion with the Holy See. The archeparchy is the metropolitan see of the Slovak Greek Catholic ecclesiastical province which covers the whole of Slovakia. The archeparch is also, ex officio, the metropolitan bishop of the metropolis. The geographical remit of the archeparchy itself is confined to the Prešov Region of Slovakia. The see is currently sede vacante. The cathedral church of the archeparcy is the cathedral of St. John the Baptist which is situated in Prešov. As an Eastern Catholic church, it uses the Byzantine Rite in the Slovak and Church Slavonic languages.
Stanislav Zvolenský is a Slovak prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the first Archbishop of Bratislava.
Cyril Vasiľ S.J. is a Slovak Jesuit who has been eparch (bishop) of the Eparchy of Košice in the Slovak Greek Catholic Church since June 2021, after serving as apostolic administrator there for 16 months. He continues to enjoy the personal title of archbishop. He held leadership positions at the Pontifical Oriental Institute from 2002 to 2008. He was made a titular archbishop in 2009 and held that title while serving as secretary of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches from 2009 to 2020 and while apostolic administrator of Košice.
Ján Babjak, S.J. is Slovak Greek Catholic prelate and a first Archieparch of Prešov, previously serving as the 10th Bishop, and the highest representative of the Greek Catholic sui iuris Church in Slovakia.
The Venezuelan Episcopal Conference (CEV) is a permanent institution. Viliam Judák is the diocesan Bishop of Nitra, Slovakia. He was a priest in Nitra, where he gained a Th.D. in 1991, and was then seminary rector of St. Gorazd in Nitra (1996–2001) and then dean of Comenius University in Bratislava (2001–2004). He is an academic with specialties in Christian antiquity and the medieval Slovak church history and is the author of several monographs in the field of church history, and many books, articles and publications. He speaks German and Italian.
Ján Orosch is a Roman Catholic prelate currently serving as the Archbishop of Trnava.
Dominik Hrušovský was a prelate of the Catholic Church who served outside his homeland during its years of Communist control, largely devoted to the pastoral care of Catholic Slovaks abroad. Late in his career he returned to Slovakia. He was also Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus.

Monsignor Bernard Bober is a Slovak catholic prelate. He is the Archbishop of Archdiocese of Košice, chair of the Conference of Slovak Bishops and Grand Chancellor of the Catholic University in Ružomberok.
