Cypher16 is a British rock band that plays a blend of metal and industrial music. They have held tours in multiple countries that include China and India, [1] and have played shows and festivals with bands such as Amaranthe, Lamb of God, and Slayer. [2] [3] [4]

The band is currently made up of Jack Doolan (guitar/vocals), Will Cass (guitar), Declan Doran (drums), and Rich Gray (Bass guitar).

Past members include Tom Clarke, Chris Woollams, Julian Shiu, Adrian Serrano "Litro", and Stuart Deards. [5]

Band history

Cypher16 released their first EP, The Man of the Black Abyss, in 2008, followed by The Metaphorical Apocalypse in 2011. In April 2013 they released Determine to coincide with their performance at Bloodstock Festival. The following year they held their ten country The March of Nations tour and performed at festivals such as Hammerfest, Trondheim Metal Fest, and Midi Festival. The band also entered the studio to record their debut album, with producer Romesh Dodangoda.[ citation needed ]

In 2015 Cypher16 toured with Amaranthe, followed by a 17-date second tour in China and festival performances. [6] In October of the same year they released their debut album, The Great Surveyor. It received praise from Metal Hammer and Powerplay magazines, the latter of which called the band "undoubtedly one of the most exciting young acts in Britain right now".[ citation needed ]

The following year Cypher16 performed at Hammerfest before touring twice as an opening act for Amaranthe. [7] In 2017 the band released a video for "Open the Dark Door", which was filmed at the Natural History Museum in London. [8] [9] They continued to perform in 2018 and began recording their second album, working with Jakob Herrmann and mastering the record at Abbey Road in London, England in 2019. In April 2020 they released "Break" as the first single from their second album, [10] which received radio rotation on Brazil's 89FM, followed by "Push Through the Water" in June, [11] and album title-track "It's a Long Way Back (From This Road)" in September.[ citation needed ]

Powerwolf German power metal band

Powerwolf, often stylized as POWERWOLF, is a German power metal band founded in 2003 in Saarbrücken by members of Red Aim. The band consists of vocalist Karsten Brill as "Attila Dorn", lead guitarist Benjamin Buss as "Matthew Greywolf", bassist/rhythm guitarist David Vogt as "Charles Greywolf", keyboardist Christian Jost as "Falk Maria Schlegel" and drummer Roel van Helden. The group uses dark themes and images, musically and lyrically, contrary to traditional power metal music, as well as corpse paint, gothic-tinged compositions and songs about Romanian werewolf and vampire legends.

Savage Messiah (band)

Savage Messiah are an English heavy metal band formed in May 2007 in London. The band was formed by guitarist and lead vocalist Dave Silver and also consists of guitarist Joff Bailey, bassist Míra Sláma, keyboardist Carlos Alcalde De Lema and drummer Charly Carretón.

Huron are an English thrash metal band formed in Plymouth in late 2007. They released their first studio album, Cheyne Stoking, in June 2009 on Rising Records. The band have garnered positive critical attention for their live performances. They released their fourth studio recording The Dead Stay Dead in February 2016.

Avatar (band) Swedish heavy metal band

Avatar is a Swedish heavy metal band, formed in Gothenburg in 2001. The band has released eight studio albums, the most recent being Hunter Gatherer in 2020. The band has had some success on US rock radio, notably with their song "New Land", which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in May 2017.

Fury UK is an English heavy metal band based in Manchester, England. Between 2007 and 2012 the band played a series of important festival appearances such as Bloodstock Open Air and Hammerfest in the UK, and Prog Power Metal Festival in Belgium, toured extensively with some of the biggest names such as Saxon, Iced Earth and Michael Schenker. Meanwhile, the band released three albums, one EP and one DVD. The band received plenty of critical praise, not least from renowned music writer Dom Lawson in his review of 3rd album 'A Way of Life' for Classic Rock magazine. In May 2012 the band went on long term hiatus when bassist Luke Appleton was recruited by American heavy metal band Iced Earth, following which Fury UK members Chris Appleton and Martin McNee formed a new band called Absolva, announcing their debut album 'Flames of Justice'.

Imicus are a British five-piece rock/metal band based in and around Luton and London, England. The band released their debut album Animal Factory via Transcend Records in May 2010. A single "The Marionette" followed in 2011 via a limited edition release. On 7 August the band announced the worldwide release of a new single 'The Libertine' on 26 September 2014. The band's final album 'Turbulent Skies' is released on 4 May 2015.

Lovebites (band) Japanese all-female heavy metal band

Lovebites is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup consists of Miho on bass, Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, and Asami on vocals. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their debut EP and their first album, The Lovebites EP and Awakening from Abyss, in 2017 before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year. With another EP and album released in 2018, Battle Against Damnation and Clockwork Immortality, Lovebites quickly garnered international attention and won that year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. They released their third album, Electric Pentagram, in 2020, and it reached number 9 on the Oricon chart, becoming their highest-charting to date.

Abyss is the fifth studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Unleash the Archers, released on 21 August 2020 via Napalm Records. It is a concept album that continues the story introduced in their previous studio effort, Apex. It is their first album released after the departure of bassist Nikko Whitworth and, since he's yet to be officially replaced, it also marks their first album recorded as a quartet.
