The Cyprus Hockey Association is the national governing body for the sport of field hockey in Cyprus. At club level, it runs the field hockey leagues and organises representation of Cyprus in the EuroHockey Club Trophy and Challenge.

It is also responsible for organising the Cyprus national field hockey team. It is a member of the European Hockey Federation and the International Hockey Federation.

As of July 30, 2007, the Cyprus National field hockey team ranked 58th in the world. [1]

Euro Hockey League European field hockey tournament for clubs

The Euro Hockey League is an annual men's field hockey cup competition organized by the EHF for the very top hockey clubs in Europe. The competition was launched at the start of the 2007-08 hockey season when it merged and replaced the men's EuroHockey Club Champions Cup and the EuroHockey Cup Winners Cup. Featuring many of the world's best players, the EHL is now seen as the pinnacle of club hockey in Europe with top clubs from across the continent playing what many consider to be the most exciting and dynamic club hockey in the world.

The EuroHockey Nations Challenge is a competition run by the European Hockey Federation for European national field hockey teams. There are Challenges for outdoor and indoor hockey for both men's and women's sides. The Challenges precede the current EuroHockey Nations Trophy, which itself precedes the EuroHockey Nations Championship. Teams can gain promotion and relegation from their divisions based on their final standings.

The EuroHockey Club Trophy II is an annual men's field hockey competition organised by the EHF for European hockey clubs. It was the second most prestigious European club competition, being one tier below the top men's European club competition the Euro Hockey League, until 2019. In that sense, the ECT was hockey's equivalent of the UEFA Europa League. In 2019, a new competition was created between the EuroHockey Club Trophy and the Euro Hockey League, called the EuroHockey Club Trophy I and the EuroHockey Club Trophy became the EuroHockey Club Trophy II.

Due to the lack of international recognition, Northern Cyprus is not a member of some international sporting bodies.
