David Maurice Robinson is an American former professional basketball player who played for the San Antonio Spurs in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1989 to 2003, and minority owner of the Spurs. James Alvin Palmer is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played 19 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles. Palmer was the winningest MLB pitcher in the 1970s, totaling 186 wins. He also won at least 20 games in eight different seasons and won three Cy Young Awards and four Gold Gloves during the decade. His 268 Orioles victories are the most in team history. A six-time American League (AL) All-Star, he was also one of the rare pitchers who never allowed a grand slam in any major league contest.
James Timothy McCarver was an American professional baseball catcher, television sports commentator, and singer. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1959 to 1980 for four teams, spending almost all of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies. A two-time All-Star, he helped the Cardinals to the 1964 World Series title, batting .478 in the Series, including a three-run home run in the tenth inning to win Game 5. In 1966, he became the first catcher since the 19th century to lead the National League (NL) in triples with 13. McCarver was runner-up for the 1967 NL Most Valuable Player Award, behind teammate Orlando Cepeda, after batting .295 and leading NL catchers in assists and fielding percentage.

The Dakota Rail Trail runs 28.1 miles (42.6 km) from Wayzata to Lester Prairie, Minnesota. It is on part of the former track bed of the Hutchinson Spur of the Great Northern Railway. The railway line helped bring wheat and raw materials from Central Minnesota to the flour mills, factories and warehouses in Minneapolis from 1885 until 2001. The railway line, from which there are views of the countryside, was also designed to bring tourists to the communities on Lake Minnetonka in the late 1880s.

He became engaged to Clare Crawley during 16th season of ABC's The Bachelorette where they left the show early as a couple and ultimately broke up shortly thereafter.

La Vega High School is a public high school located in the city of Bellmead, Texas, United States and classified as a 4A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). It is a part of the La Vega Independent School District located in central McLennan County and also includes students from Waco. When the school opened, only white students were allowed to attend. In 1970, federally mandated integration caused African-American students from Carver High School to be rezoned to La Vega. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.
Carver Beauregard Shannon was an American and Canadian football player who played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He won the Grey Cup with Winnipeg in 1959 and 1961. He played college football in Carbondale, Illinois with Southern Illinois University where he was nominated for the 1958 All-American team. Shannon was also drafted into the National Football League (NFL) in the 1959 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Rams from 1962 to 1964, following his career in Canadian football. After his time with the Rams he went to play for the Chicago Bears where he sustained a knee injury and retired from professional football. From 1983 through 1985 Shannon was a line judge in the NFL, wearing uniform number 56. He is a member of the Southern Illinois University Sport Hall of Fame, inducted in 1978. He later worked in the aerospace industry following his sports career and lives in Los Angeles.
