Danica Taylor (born 13 April 2001) is an English television personality. After working as a dancer, she rose to prominence when she was cast on the eighth series of the ITV2 dating series Love Island . Since her exit, she has performed on Britain Get Singing .

Life and career

Taylor was born on 13 April 2001 in Leicester, East Midlands. [1] [2] She is of English and Jamaican heritage. [3] [4] She trained in dance at university and obtained a degree. [5] She began performing professionally, with her gigs including being a backup dancer for Jax Jones at the 2021 Jingle Bell Ball. [6] [7]

In 2022, Taylor was cast as a "bombshell" on the eighth series of the ITV2 dating series Love Island . [8] She was flown out to Mallorca and was told on the twelfth day of the series that she would be entering the villa. [9] [10] She was given one hour to prepare for her entrance. [11] Throughout the series, Taylor struggled to form romantic connections but she soon became a fan-favourite due to her personality and sense of humour. [12] [13] [14] Taylor's exit from the series in the final week went viral after she danced out of the villa. [15] Months after her exit, Taylor performed on ITV's Britain Get Singing special as part of a mental health campaign led by the network. [16] [17]

Love Island is a British dating game show. It is a revival of the earlier celebrity series of the same name, which aired for two series in 2005 and 2006. The series is the originator of the international Love Island franchise, with twenty-two versions of it having been produced so far worldwide. The show is presented by Maya Jama and narrated by Iain Stirling. The show was previously hosted by both Caroline Flack and Laura Whitmore.

The fifth series of Love Island began airing on 3 June 2019 on ITV2, and concluded on 29 July 2019. The show was presented by Caroline Flack and narrated by Iain Stirling. It is the fifth from the current revived series, but seventh overall. Singer Craig David made a cameo appearance at a Ministry of Sound pool party as a DJ performing his new single "When You Know What Love Is".

The sixth series of Love Island began broadcasting on 12 January 2020, on ITV2. The series was announced on 24 July 2019, when it was confirmed that two seasons would air in 2020, and this is also the first winter edition of the seasons. Unlike the summer edition, the luxury villa is located in Cape Town. This series is also the first to be hosted by Laura Whitmore, who has taken over from Caroline Flack. The series is narrated by Iain Stirling.

The seventh series of Love Island began broadcasting on 28 June 2021 and was hosted by Laura Whitmore on ITV2. Iain Stirling returned to narrate the series. The series was originally planned to air in the summer of 2020, but was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Maura Higgins is an Irish television personality, presenter and model. She rose to prominence in 2019, when she was a finalist on the fifth series of ITV2 reality series Love Island. Since her appearance on the show, Higgins has collaborated with numerous fashion and makeup brands. In 2020, she was a contestant on series 12 of the ITV1 show Dancing on Ice. Higgins has served as an agony aunt on This Morning and hosted the Irish version of the reality television competition Glow Up. She has been a contestant on Cooking with the Stars.

The eighth series of Love Island was broadcast from 6 June 2022 to 1 August 2022 on ITV2 with Laura Whitmore presenting the series and Iain Stirling narrating.

Amber Rose Gill is an English television personality and author. In 2019, she won the fifth series of Love Island. She has since presented the ITV series The Full Treatment (2021), as well as competing on the Channel 4 survival series Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins (2022). Big Brother 2023, also known as Big Brother 20, was the twentieth series of Big Brother to air in the United Kingdom. It is the first series to air on ITV2 after ITV gained the rights to the series in August 2022, almost four years since it last aired on Channel 5. The series began on 8 October 2023, with a launch show airing simultaneously on both ITV and ITV2, with the remainder of the series broadcasting primarily on the latter channel. It is co-presented by AJ Odudu and Will Best, who also front the companion show Big Brother: Late & Live.

Laura Anderson is a Scottish television personality. In 2018, she was the runner-up on the fourth series of Love Island. In 2022, she was a finalist on Celebrity Karaoke Club and is also set to appear on Celebs Go Dating.

The ninth series of Love Island began broadcasting on 16 January 2023 to 13 March 2023 on ITV2. It is the second winter edition of the series and the first to be presented by Maya Jama, who took over from Laura Whitmore. Iain Stirling returned to narrate the series.

The tenth series of Love Island began broadcasting on 5 June 2023 on ITV2. Maya Jama returned to present the series, with Iain Stirling again returning as narrator.
