Daniel Ray Allen Cooksey Jr. (born November 2, 1975) [1] is an American actor and musician. He is best known for his roles in television shows, such as Diff'rent Strokes (during the final three seasons), The Cavanaughs , Xiaolin Showdown , and Salute Your Shorts , for providing the voice of Montana "Monty" Max in Tiny Toon Adventures , and for his role as a friend to the young John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day . Career

Acting

When Cooksey was eight years old, his mother moved to Los Angeles with the intention of pursuing a career in country music. [3] He auditioned successfully for Diff'rent Strokes , being cast as Sam McKinney, a part he played for the last three seasons. [2] He also played Kevin Cavanaugh in The Cavanaughs , [2] Bobby Budnick in Salute Your Shorts , [2] John Connor's friend Tim in Terminator 2: Judgment Day , [2] the title character in The Further Adventures of SuperTed , Montana Max in Tiny Toon Adventures , Milo Kamalani on Pepper Ann , Jack Spicer in Xiaolin Showdown , [2] and the title character in Dave the Barbarian . [2] He also lent his voice to the Kids' WB animated series Static Shock as Francis Stone/Hotstreak. [4] In 1996, Cooksey provided the voice of one of his most well known characters, Stoop Kid from Hey Arnold! (coincidentally, Stoop Kid was a caricature of Cooksey).

Music

Cooksey was the lead singer in the band Bad4Good. [1] They released one CD, Refugee , for Interscope Records in 1992. [4] [1] He was also a member of Lucy's Milk in 1996, [5] He is the most prominent member of the band Arbuckle (2004 - 2013). [3] In 2015, Cooksey worked with the Western band Shelter Dogs, providing guitar and vocals, releasing the album Take Me Home in March 2015, all the tracks being written or co-written by Cooksey. [6]

Personal life

Cooksey was born in Moore, Oklahoma, the son of Melody Ann (née Wagoner) and Daniel Ray Allen Cooksey. [7]

Danny has been married for over 15 years to Amber, who has epilepsy. They have a daughter named Zöe. [8]

<i>Xiaolin Showdown</i> Animated television series

Xiaolin Showdown is an American animated television series that aired on Kids' WB and was created by Christy Hui. Set in a world where martial arts battles and Eastern magic are commonplace, the series follows Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, and Clay, four young Xiaolin warriors in training who, alongside their dragon companion Dojo, battle the Heylin forces of evil, especially series antagonists Jack Spicer, Wuya, and Chase Young. The Xiaolin warriors set to accomplish this by protecting Shen Gong Wu, a set of ancient artifacts that have great magical powers, from villains who could use them to conquer the world. Typical episodes revolve around a specific Shen Gong Wu and the resulting race on both sides to find it. Minnie's Bow-Toons is an American animated preschool television series from Disney Television Animation.
