Dansa Kourouma (born February 9, 1980 in Faranah) is a Guinean politician and has been president of the National Council of the Transition since 22 January 2022. [1]

Following the 2021 Guinean coup d'état, the council was made the acting legislative body of the Republic of Guinea.

Andrée Touré

Hadja Andrée Touré was the first to gain the title of First Lady of the Republic of Guinea as the wife of Ahmed Sékou Touré, the country's first president when it gained independence in October 1958. She retained the title until her husband died in March 1984. She and her son were then arrested and in 1987 she was sentenced to eight years of forced labour. She was able to leave the country but returned in 2000.

Waiting for the Wild Beasts to Vote is a satirical French-language novel by the Ivorian writer Ahmadou Kourouma, published in 1998. It was first translated as Waiting for the Vote of the Wild Animals by Carrol F. Coates and later by Frank Wynne as Waiting for the Wild Beasts to Vote. The novel won the Prix Tropiques (1998), the Grand prix Poncetton (1998) and the Prix du Livre Inter (1999).
