Darren Daniel (born 13 September 1986) is a Welsh rugby union footballer.

Daniel began his career with Llanelli RFC, working his way up through the junior and youth teams, before finally reaching the senior squad. By the time he was 18, Daniel was a regular in the Llanelli first team, and it wasn't long before he was promoted to the Scarlets regional side. He made his debut for the Scarlets on 20 August 2005 in a friendly match against the Worcester Warriors, but didn't score his first try until the following match, another friendly against a Scarlets Regional Select XV four days later.

Daniel spent most of the 2005–06 season playing for Llanelli in the Principality Premiership, but also played five matches for the Scarlets, scoring one try. In the 2006–07 Magners League, however, Daniel became much more of a fixture in the Scarlets squad, playing 21 matches and scoring 10 tries, including a hat–trick in the win over the Glasgow Warriors. [1] Nathan Brew's arrival at the West Wales club made it more difficult for Daniel to hold down a spot in the Scarlets' starting XV in the 2007–08 Magners League, but Mark Jones' absence at the 2007 Rugby World Cup provided him with a chance to prove himself before the competition for places intensified.

Daniel joined Wales Sevens for the 2009–10 IRB Sevens World Series. [2]

In July 2010, Daniel was released by the Scarlets, and soon signed with the Carmarthen Quins. [3] He later joined London Irish playing for the A side. [4] [5] and in 2011 joined the Cornish Pirates where he stayed for one season starting two games. [6] While with the Pirates, Daniel played for Launceston Rugby Club on loan. [7]

In 2012, Daniel returned to the Quins, where he played until 2014. [8]

Alec Jenkins is a Welsh rugby union player who plays on the wing for Llanelli Scarlets and Wales Sevens.

The 2008–09 Celtic League was the eighth Celtic League season and the third with Magners as title sponsor. The season began in September 2008 and ended in May 2009. Ten teams played each other on a home-and-away basis, with teams earning four points for a win, and a bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a match. Losing teams also earned a bonus point if they lost by seven points or less.

Andrew Mark Fenby is a Welsh former rugby union footballer who played as a fullback or on the wing. Fenby's professional career started relatively late, as he earned his first professional contract with Newcastle Falcons at the age of 24. After a brief cameo for the Falcons at the end of the 2008–09 season, he returned to Wales to sign for the Scarlets. The emergence of fellow wing George North on the international scene gave Fenby the opportunity to play regularly for the Scarlets during the Autumn internationals and the Six Nations, before he finally nailed down the left wing position during the 2012–13 season. A record of 14 tries in 28 appearances that season resulted in a transfer to London Irish in 2013. After initially retiring from professional rugby at the end of the 2015–16 season, he briefly returned to the sport in October 2016, signing a three-month contract with Saracens.

The British and Irish Cup was an annual rugby union competition for second tier, semi-professional clubs and the reserves or developing teams from professional clubs from Great Britain and Ireland. It took place for the first time in the 2009–10 season, and ran for 9 seasons.

The 2011–12 season was the Cornish Pirates 9th season in the second tier of the English rugby union league system, the RFU Championship and their third in the British and Irish Cup. The Pirates finished 3rd in Stage One of the Championship, allowing them to qualify for the promotion stages, where they were losing finalist to London Welsh RFC. They also reached the semi–finals of the British and Irish Cup losing to Cross Keys in Wales.

The 2011–12 season is the ninth in the history of the Scarlets regional side. In this season, they will compete in the Pro12, the Heineken Cup and the LV Cup.

Jordan Rhys Williams is a Welsh rugby union footballer who plays for the Dragons. His regular position is at full-back, but he has also played at fly-half and on the wing. He began his career with amateur side New Dock Stars RFC, before being signed by Llanelli RFC and ultimately breaking into the Scarlets regional side. However, he struggled to find playing time with the Scarlets and moved to Bristol in 2016, only to return to Wales with the Dragons two years later. Alisha Butchers is a Welsh rugby union player who plays flanker for Bristol Bears Women and the Wales women's national rugby union team. She made her debut for the Wales rugby union team in 2016 and has played in 29 matches for the national side. Butchers scored her first international try in 2016 in a Women's Six Nations Championship victory over Scotland. She works as an Active Young People Officer and a Girls' Hub Officer while continuing her rugby career.

Gareth Williams is a Welsh former rugby union player who played as a flanker. Born in Aberystwyth but raised in the village of Tumble, Carmarthenshire, he played club rugby for Llanelli, Carmarthen Quins and Llandovery, and was also part of the Llanelli Scarlets regional side for the first season of regional rugby in Wales in 2002–03. At international level, he represented Wales at every level from under-16 to under-21.
