Denbigh Golf Club (Welsh: Clwb Golff Dinbych) is a golf club based just outside Denbigh at Denbighshire, Wales. [1] It is an 18-hole parkland course with mature trees. Their "Pay and Play" course is available to non-members.

In 2009 a father and son each had a hole-in-one at the club and the odds were said to be 13,000-1. [2] The first lady member to be appointed club president was in 2013, after 105 years of male presidents. [3]

The Detroit Golf Club is a private golf club located in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan in the middle of a neighborhood area on north side of the city near the University of Detroit Mercy and Palmer Woods Historic District. Bert Way designed the original 6-hole course. It was expanded to 9 holes, and finally Donald Ross built the current 36-hole course. The club grounds crew maintains two courses, the North and the South Course. The head pro is Josh Upson. Starting in 2019, Detroit Golf Club began hosting the Rocket Mortgage Classic, a new annual PGA Tour event.

Golf in Wales

Golf is a popular sport in Wales. Although the sport of golf in Great Britain is most associated with Scotland, where it was established and developed, Wales can record its first courses back to the 1880s, and today has over 200 clubs. The first amateur golf competition was held in 1895 and the first professional championship was in 1904. Wales has produced several players of note, including one player, Ian Woosnam, who has won one of the Men's major golf championships and Wales has twice won the men's World Cup, in 1987 and 2005, respectively. Wales also hosted the Ryder Cup, when it was held at Newport's Celtic Manor Resort in 2010.

Old Padeswood Golf Club is a golf club based just outside Padeswood at Flintshire, Wales. It is an 18-hole parkland course. Golf was originally played at the current site of Old Padeswood Golf Club over 100 years ago as recorded in the 1912 OS map, but revamped in 1977 with 18 holes in 1985. It was officially opened in 1985 by former British Ryder Cup Captain and Welsh International Brian Huggett M.B.E. In June 2011, three club members scored 3 hole-in-ones on a single incredible weekend. Their "Pay and Play" course is available to non-members.

Whitchurch Golf Club

Whitchurch Golf Club is a golf club based in Rhiwbina in Cardiff, Wales. It is an 18-hole parkland course. The club record is held by Ian Woosnam with a par of 62. In 2005, 2006, and 2008 the club won the award for the best golf club in Wales in Bloom and by “Welsh Club Golfer” as being “the best inland golf course in Wales”. During World War II, a part of the course was used to grow vegetables. The club welcomes visitors and society golf.

Criccieth Golf Course

Criccieth Golf Club was a golf club based just outside Criccieth at Gwynedd, Wales. A 5787-yard-long, 18 hole hilltop course with par 69 and SSS of 68. The club opened in 1905. In 2015 the club was named among Bryn Terfel's favourite courses in the “Wales Golf Annual Brochure”. This club has a "members only" policy.

Caerphilly Golf Club Leisure facility in Wales

Caerphilly Golf Club is a golf club based just outside Caerphilly at Caerphilly County Borough, Wales. A 5944-yard-long, 18 hole Mountain course with par 71 and SSS of 70. The club was founded in 1905".

Aberdare Golf Club is a golf club based just outside Aberdare at Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It was founded in 1921 as a parkland course at Abernant, about a mile from Aberdare and is an 18-hole golf course famous for its mature oak trees. Dai Rees, who was former Ryder Cup Captain is a member and who started his career at the club as an Assistant Professional at the age of 16. This club has a "members only" policy.

British Steel Golf Club is a golf club based just outside Port Talbot at Neath Port Talbot, Wales. A 9-hole course. The members course is only available on pre booked tee times.

Mold Golf Club is a golf club based just outside Pantymwyn at Flintshire, Wales. It is an 18-hole uplands course some 850 feet above sea level, with a practice ground and putting green. The Club welcomes members, new members and visitors alike, seven days a week. The club was praised by Welsh Assembly Delyn AM Sandy Mewies recently while opening a new facility at the club; she said, "It is a top flight facility, similar to ones used by top players". The club was opened as "Hafod Golf Links" in 1905.

Rhyl Golf Club is a golf club based on the outskirts of Rhyl at Denbighshire, Wales. It is a 9-hole course (links). In 2010 the club undertook a £225,000, five-year refurbishment programme. The course is a 9-hole 6315 yards in total and is the only nine-hole links on the north Wales coast.

Abergele Golf Club Golf club in Conwy County Borough, Wales

Abergele Golf Club is a golf club located in Abergele, Conwy, Clwyd, Wales. The 18-hole course was formed in 1910 and established itself at its present location in 1968 near Gwrych Castle and is a member of the Community amateur sports club. It was redesigned between 2002 and 2003 to meet United States Golf Association standards allowing its members and visitors to play on the course all-year round. Abergele Golf Club is regarded by many golf publications to be "one of the most picturesque courses in Wales". Becky Brewerton, a member of the Ladies European Tour, has played on the course, and Abergele Golf Club has held several regional and national golf tournaments.

Donald Trump is closely associated with the sport of golf. As a real estate developer, Trump began acquiring and constructing golf courses in 1999. By the time of his election as United States President in 2016, he owned 17 golf courses worldwide through his holding company, the Trump Organization. Courses owned by Trump have been selected to host various PGA and LPGA events, including the upcoming 2022 PGA Championship. A spokesman for the Trump Organization said that "This is a breach of a binding contract and they have no right to terminate the agreement".
