Deon McCaulay (born 20 September 1987) is a Belizean professional footballer who plays as a forward for Atletico Atlanta of the United Premier Soccer League, the Rome Gladiators of the National Indoor Soccer League, and the Belize national team. McCaulay has played in Belize for Kremandala, FC Belize and Belize Defence Force; in Costa Rica he had a trial with Puntarenas; [16] he played in Honduras for Deportes Savio from 2009 to 2011. [17] He has also played for Belmopan Bandits in the Premier League of Belize. [18]
In February 2013 he had a trial with the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer. [19]
In March 2014 he joined the Atlanta Silverbacks of North American Soccer League. [20]
After a two-year spell back in Belize with Verdes FC, McCaulay rejoined the Atlanta Silverbacks in March 2017. [21]
In April 2018, he signed with the Georgia Revolution FC of the National Premier Soccer League. [22] [23]
In November 2020 he signed for Ginga Atlanta. [24] McCaulay was recognized as UPSL national player of the week on 27 November 2020, [25] and on 5 February 2021 [26]
McCaulay made his international debut for Belize in 2007. [17] He was a member of Belize's FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign for the 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022 editions, [27] and he scored the first goal and first hat-trick of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. [28] He is Belize's all-time top scorer, [29] with eighteen goals in FIFA World Cup qualifying, [27] as well as two goals at the 2007 UNCAF Nations Cup and one goal at the 2013 Copa Centroamericana. He was also the worldwide top goalscorer in 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification along with Luis Suárez and Robin van Persie with eleven goals. He scored a hat-trick of those eleven in a 5–2 rout of Montserrat in June 2011. [30]

The Atlanta Silverbacks FC were an American professional soccer club based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1998 as Atlanta Ruckus, the club played in many leagues over the years before folding after the 2015 season. The team played its home games at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, a large soccer complex featuring a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Atlanta, 15 miles northeast of downtown. The team's colors were red, black, grey, and white.

Verdes F.C. is a Belizean association football club which competes in the Premier League of Belize. They are currently based in San Ignacio, Belize, a town situated in the district of Cayo, Belize. The club was established in 1976 as Real Verdes Football Club and changed their name to Hankook Verdes in 2004. They are now known only as Verdes F.C, locally being called only Verdes. The club is one of the oldest active professional football teams in Belize and has been in existence since the inception of the Football Federation of Belize. Their home games are played at Norman Broaster Stadium.
