The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) occupies the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Cube, Rivergate Plaza's architecturally significant six-story atrium building renowned as one of the most impressive interior spaces on Florida's west coast. Since 2012, FMoPA has been located in the Cube, which was selected as one of the Top 100 buildings in Florida in the American Institute of Architects' Florida Architecture, 100 Years, 100 Places poll. The Cube is located adjacent to Rivergate Tower, also known as the Sykes Building, in downtown Tampa, Florida. The location of FMoPA makes it part of the Waterfront Arts District, along with the Tampa Museum of Art and Glazer Children's Museum; all of which are situated around the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, located alongside the historic Tampa Riverwalk. Directly across from FMoPA and the Hillsborough River, where the Tampa Riverwalk is located, is the architecturally significant University of Tampa where the Henry B. Plant Museum resides.
Fine art nude photography is a genre of fine-art photography which depicts the nude human body with an emphasis on form, composition, emotional content, and other aesthetic qualities. The nude has been a prominent subject of photography since its invention, and played an important role in establishing photography as a fine art medium. The distinction between fine art photography and other subgenres is not absolute, but there are certain defining characteristics.
Mona Kuhn is a German-Brazilian contemporary photographer best known for her large-scale photographs of the human form and essence. An underlying current in Kuhn's work is her reflection on our longing for spiritual connection and solidarity. As a result, her approach is unusual in that she develops close relationships with her subjects, resulting in images of remarkable intimacy. Betty Hahn is an American photographer known for working in alternative and early photographic processes. She completed both her BFA (1963) and MFA (1966) at Indiana University. By transcending traditional concepts of photography, Hahn challenges the viewer not only to assess the content of the image, but also to contemplate the photographic object itself.

David Lebe is an American photographer. He is best known for his experimental images using techniques such as pinhole cameras, hand-painted photographs, photograms, and light drawings. Many of his photographs explore issues of gay identity, homoeroticism, and living with AIDS, linking his work to that of contemporaries such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Peter Hujar, and David Wojnarowicz. Deborah Bright is a 20th-century American photographer and artist, writer, and educator. Bernis von zur Muehlen is an American fine arts photographer. She made Phi Beta Kappa in 1962 and received a BA in literature, summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1963.
