Digital Media Arts College (DMAC) was a private for-profit art and design college in Boca Raton, Florida. [1] DMAC was founded in 2002 to offer bachelor's degrees in 3D animation and graphic design. [2] It was acquired by Lynn University in 2017 and made part of the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn College of Communication and Design. [3]

DMAC was accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). It enrolled approximately 350 students.

Academics

DMAC offered specialized Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Computer Animation (and a concentration in Game Art) and Graphic Design (and a concentration in Advertising Design) as well as Master of Fine Arts degrees in Visual Effects Animation and Web Design. In 2014, DMAC launched online programs which included an Associate of Multimedia Design and a Master in Web Design and Technology Professional certificate programs were also offered for students working towards a degree and as resume enhancers for professionals working in an advertising-related industry.

Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago

Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago was a for-profit art and culinary school, which briefly operated as a non-profit institution before it closed in 2018. The school was one of a number of Art Institutes, a franchise of for-profit art colleges with many branches in North America, owned and operated by Education Management Corporation. EDMC owned the college from 1975 until 2017, when, facing significant financial problems and declining enrollment, the company sold the Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago, along with 30 other Art Institute schools, to Dream Center Education, a Los Angeles-based Pentecostal organization.

Madison Media Institute (MMI) was a private for-profit media arts college in Madison, Wisconsin. Until 2017, it ran a branch location in Edina, Minnesota. The school offered associate and baccalaureate degree programs in video, music production, game design, media technology, graphic design, and web and entertainment business.

IADT - Tampa was a for-profit college offering both bachelor and associate degrees in many different fields of study. The former Sears executive Clem Stein established the original International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago in 1977. The Tampa location opened in 1984.
