Frank País Airport is an airport serving Holguín, a city in the Cuban province of Holguín. It bears the name of Cuban revolutionary Frank País. The airport was built in 1962 initially only for military purposes before civilian air operations began in 1966. It consists of a domestic and an international terminal, which was built in 1996 and expanded in 2007.

She entered the University of Havana in 1965, graduating five years later. She earned a PhD in philology (1992) at the same university, specializing in Latin American and Cuban literature, as well as in studies on Cuban women's literary discourse. She worked for many years teaching and conducting research at the University of Havana.
Cubana de Aviación Flight 972 was a scheduled domestic flight operated by Mexican charter airline Global Air on behalf of Cubana de Aviación, from José Martí International Airport, Havana, Cuba, to Frank País Airport in Holguín, Cuba. On 18 May 2018, the 39-year-old Boeing 737-201 Adv. operating the route crashed shortly after takeoff, near Santiago de las Vegas, 19 kilometres from Havana city centre. Of those on board, 112 died and one passenger survived with critical injuries. There were initially four survivors, but three of them later died at a local hospital. Most of the passengers on board were Cuban nationals, although the crew was entirely Mexican.

Hierro is a Spanish-French mystery drama television series, created by Pepe Coira. It was produced by Movistar+, ARTE France, Portocabo and Atlantique Productions. The first season was released on Movistar+ on 7 June 2019. In September 2019, the series was renewed for a second season, and on 21 January 2021 a trailer was released. Bringing a closure to the series, the second season aired from 19 February to 19 March 2021.

The COVID-19 vaccination program in Argentina is an ongoing effort of mass immunization. Vaccination against COVID-19 began in Argentina on 29 December 2020 aiming at health professionals. Argentina struck a deal with the United Kingdom in November 2020 for a British made vaccine produced by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford. The vaccines are part of a deal where Argentina received 22.4 million doses. During the first week, 39,599 doses were applied to health professionals.
A series of protests against the Cuban government and the Communist Party of Cuba began on 11 July 2021, triggered by a shortage of food and medicine and the government's response to the resurgent COVID-19 pandemic in Cuba. The protests were the largest anti-government demonstrations since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959. Protesters' motivations included resentment at the Cuban government's authoritarianism and curbs on civil liberties, the government's COVID-19 pandemic lockdown rules, the government's failure to follow through on promised economic and political reforms. Protesters were also angered by the poor state of the Cuban economy. Cuban dissidents have placed the responsibility on the government's economic policies and human rights abuses.
María Isabel Díaz Lago is a Cuban actress. A graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte, her first film role was in Una novia para David. She became the first Cuban "Almodóvar girl", appearing in the 2006 film Volver. On the small screen, she is best known for her role as Soledad "Sole" Núñez Hurtado on Locked Up. "Patria y Vida" is a slogan and song associated with the July 2021 Cuban protests. It is an inversion of the Cuban Revolution motto Patria o Muerte. The slogan was popularized by a reggaeton song released in February 2021 by Yotuel, Beatriz Luengo, Descemer Bueno, Gente de Zona, Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, Maykel Osorbo and El Funky.
Camila Acosta (1993) is a Cuban journalist that works as a correspondent for the Spanish newspaper ABC in her home country corresponsal. Acosta has been detained several times by Cuban authorities due to her work, openly critic to the Castrista system.
