Doki (also known as Doki Adventures [1] [2] [3] ) is an animated children's television series that aired on Discovery Kids in Latin America from April 15, 2013, to July 1, 2019. The show was produced by Portfolio Entertainment.

Contents

The series features a six-year-old dog named Doki and his five friends; Mundi, Oto, Anabella, Gabi, and Fico, who are members of the Worldwide Expedition Club, a travel group. [7] On May 12, 2016, the series was renewed for a third season that premiered on March 4, 2017. [8] The show's fourth season was initially scheduled to premiere in 2020. However, the season was actually cancelled and can only be found on the company's Vimeo. [6]

Production

From 2005 to 2016, Doki served as Discovery Kids' Latin American mascot for bumpers. [6] In 2012, JBMW Media began developing Doki as a full series, with Portfolio Entertainment producing and distributing the series. [6] For seasons 1 and 2, PiP Animation Services produced animation. Starting with season 3, Portfolio Animation took over animation production.

Broadcast

Doki premiered on Discovery Familia in the United States on November 11, 2013. [9] The English version later premiered on Qubo on September 1, 2014, until it ceased on February 28, 2021. [10] and ION Television's Qubo Kids Corner block [11] on January 4, 2015. [12] The "Doki Rocks Rio" episode aired on Discovery Family on August 5, 2016, and August 7, 2016.

In Asia, the series premiered on Discovery Kids Asia on February 15, 2016, and on Discovery Family in Africa on April 1, 2016. [13] [14] In Canada, the show airs on Knowledge Network, TVOKids and Toon-A-Vision. [15] In Australia, the show aired on Discovery Kids. In Iran, the show aired on IRIB TV2.[ when? ] In the United Arab Emirates the show debuted on Nat Geo Kids Abu Dhabi on November 20, 2017.[ citation needed ]

Fishtronaut is a Brazilian-Canadian animated children's television series created by Célia Catunda and Kiko Mistrorigo, and produced by TV PinGuim, in association with Discovery Kids. The series is about the eponymous character, a fish in a spacesuit which allows him to fly and breathe out of water. He is a secret agent who, along with his friends Marina and Zeek, unravels the mysteries occurring in the Smiling Trees Park. They solve the mysteries with the help of a P.O.P., a magical multicolored ball containing clues vital to the mission. Viewers are invited to dance along with the heroes to a tune, so that the P.O.P. will open and release the clues inside. The series is aimed at children ages 3–7 and debuted successfully on Discovery Kids in Latin America on 20 April 2009.

<i>Wild Kratts</i> Educational childrens television series

Wild Kratts is an educational children's television series that uses a hybrid of live action and Flash animation. The series was created by the Kratt brothers, Chris and Martin. The Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Media Group produce the show, which is presented by PBS Kids in the United States and by TVOKids in Canada. The show's aim is to educate children about species, biology, zoology, and ecology, and teach kids small ways to make big impacts. It has ties to the Kratts' previous shows, Kratts' Creatures and Zoboomafoo, and contains numerous characters from the latter. Spanning over twelve years, Wild Kratts is the longest running program made by the Kratt Brothers. The series involves the students of "The Sparks' Crew"—Lucita Sky, AJ Gadgets, Sara Snap and Benny Bubbles—who are trained in superheroics by their quirky and enthusiastic teacher, Mr. Sparks. Together the students work as a team, using their own unique superpowers, as well as the "Superpowers of Science" to help people, solve problems, and try to make the world a better place.
