Osteopathic medicine is a branch of the medical profession in the United States that promotes the practice of science-based medicine, often referred to in this context as allopathic medicine, with a set of philosophy and principles set by its earlier form, osteopathy. Osteopathic physicians (DOs) are graduates of American osteopathic medical colleges and are licensed to practice the full scope of medicine and surgery in all 50 US states. The field is distinct from osteopathic practices offered in nations outside of the U.S., whose practitioners are generally not considered part of core medical staff nor of medicine itself, but rather are alternative medicine practitioners. The other major branch of medicine in the United States is referred to by practitioners of osteopathic medicine as allopathic medicine.

The NSU University School, commonly known as University School or simply U-School, is a fully accredited, independent, college preparatory school in Davie, Florida, that serves grades pre-K through grade 12. The school is located on the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) campus. It is divided into "Lower", "Middle", and "Upper" schools, respectively representing national elementary, middle and high school divisions. NSU University School also has a preschool that provides early care and education for children 18 months through four years. Over the summer, NSU University School offers Camp Nova, a variety of summer programs for students from preschool through grade 11. In 2015 William J. Kopas became its headmaster, replacing Jerome Chermak who had served in that role for 16 years.

In mid-2020, production studios were relocated from Piper High School, where the station had operated for many years, to BECON's production facility in Davie.
