Dream is the debut extended play by the South Korean singer Jung Eunji. It was released on April 18, 2016 by Plan A Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. [1] The EP sold 30,000+ copies on its first month of release.

Background and release

On April 7, 2016, Plan A Entertainment confirmed that Apink's Eunji will be releasing her first solo mini-album on April 18. [2] This was confirmed on April 11 by A Plan Entertainment, with the announcement that Eunji would debut as a solo artist with the mini album "Dream" on April 18, with a title track "Hopefully Sky".

The title track "Hopefully Sky" features the Korean folk singer, Hareem, who played the harmonica for the background. Eunji also personally wrote the lyrics for the track, and is inspired by her father who works overseas to support their family. [3] [4]

Promotion

Eunji began promotions of title track "Hopefully Sky" on music shows on April 21. She first performed the song on Mnet's M! Countdown, followed by performances on SBS's Inkigayo, MBC's Show Champion, KBS' Music Bank, and SBS MTV's The Show. She also performed the b-side "Love is Like The Wind" several times, alongside the title track.

Singles

On April 18, 2016, Eunji was announced to be releasing "Hopefully Sky", a promotional song for the album. A teaser video for the song was released on April 12, followed by its music video and digital release on April 18. Eunji performed the song for the first time at the Mnet's M! Countdown. The song peaked at number 3 on Gaon Digital Chart.

Pink Blossom is the fourth mini-album by South Korean girl group Apink, released on March 31, 2014. Group leader, Chorong, wrote two songs for the album. The music video for title track "Mr. Chu", composed by Duble Sidekick, was released on March 31 along with the album. The song peaked at number 2 on Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100. Apink won six music show trophies for "Mr. Chu" and the song was the eighth best selling digital song in 2014, according to Gaon's year-end chart. They released the music video for "Crystal" on June 14. Pink Blossom was the second best selling album of the week of its release on the Gaon Weekly chart and charted at #31 on the 2014 Gaon Annual Album chart with 66,139 copies sold, becoming the fourth best selling girl group album of the year.

Apink is a South Korean girl group formed by IST Entertainment. The group debuted on April 19, 2011, with the extended play (EP) Seven Springs of Apink. <i>Produce 101</i> (season 1) Girl group survival reality show

Produce 101 was a 2016 girl group survival reality show on Mnet, and is the first season of the South Korean version of the franchise. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a unit girl group by choosing members from a pool of 101 trainees from 46 entertainment companies as well as the group's concept, debut song, and group name. Produced by CJ ENM and Signal Entertainment Group for Mnet, the show had the second-largest budget of all shows broadcast by the latter at about four billion won.

I.O.I South Korean girl group

I.O.I was a South Korean girl group formed by CJ E&M through the 2016 reality show Produce 101 on Mnet. The group was composed of eleven members chosen from a pool of 101 trainees from various entertainment companies: Jeon So-mi, Kim Se-jeong, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Chung-ha, Kim So-hye, Zhou Jieqiong, Jung Chae-yeon, Kim Do-yeon, Kang Mi-na, Lim Na-young and Yoo Yeon-jung. Bird is a debut solo single album by South Korean singer Namjoo. The single was released on September 7, 2020 by Play M. It is composed by Soyeon and Yummy Tone, and choreographed by Lia Kim of the 1Million Dance Studio, located in Seoul. The song is a trap genre song with an appropriate addition of oriental elements with autobiographical message that she will not hesitate to fly over everything she loves and dream.

<i>Horn</i> (Apink album) 2022 studio album by Apink

Horn is the fourth Korean studio album and seventh overall by South Korean girl group Apink. Marketed as "special album", it contains eleven tracks, including the 2021 single "Thank You" and the lead single "Dilemma". The album was released by IST Entertainment on February 14, 2022. It was the group's last album to feature group member Naeun, who withdrew from the group on April 8, 2022.
