Dundee International Sports Center (DISC) is a sports centre in Dundee, Scotland, opened in the late 1990s. In 1998, DISC staged the European Hockey Championships. In April 2015 it hosted a Celtic Cup match between Scotland and Ireland. It was the first international wheelchair rugby league match to be played in Scotland. [1]

The sports centre is used as a physical education base for Morgan Academy and its pupils. Morgan Academy is one of a few in Scotland that use facilities like this. Most facilities are accessible by wheelchair.

The Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup is an international wheelchair rugby league tournament contested by the top national teams. The tournament was first held in 2008 as part of the Festival of World Cups held in Australia. The first winners were England who then hosted the tournament in 2013 and lost to France in the final. At the 2017 tournament the title was retained by France who were also the host nation. The 2021 tournament is being held in England in November 2022 as part of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup with eight teams taking part.

Mayfield Playing Fields, in Dundee, Scotland, is one of the sports grounds for the High School of Dundee and the home ground of rugby clubs Dundee High Rugby and its junior side, Dundee Eagles. It is situated 1.5 miles from the city centre, on Arbroath Road.

The 2021 Men's Rugby League World Cup, is the 16th Rugby League World Cup, and is one of three major tournaments taking place under the banner of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. The tournament is being held in England from 15 October 2022 to 19 November 2022. It was originally due to be held between 23 October 2021 and 27 November 2021, but the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent withdrawals of Australia and New Zealand caused the tournament to be postponed. 16 teams are competing in the tournament, an increase of two from the previous two tournaments and the first to feature 16 teams since the 2000 Rugby League World Cup.

The 2015 European Cup was an international rugby league football tournament. The tournament took place between 16 October and 7 November in Wales, France, Scotland and Ireland.

Oriam is Scotland's national performance centre for sport, based at Heriot-Watt University's Riccarton campus in Edinburgh. The England national wheelchair rugby league team represents England in wheelchair rugby league. The team have played in all three World Cup tournaments, winning the inaugural competition in 2008 and being runners up in both 2013 and 2017. They also won the 2015 European Wheelchair Rugby League Championship.

The 2021 Rugby League World Cup (RLWC2021) is a collection of world cups in the sport of rugby league being held in England from 15 October 2022 to 19 November 2022. International Rugby League announced that England had won hosting rights for the competition on 27 October 2016. The English RFL received £25 million UK government support for the tournaments to be held in the country and saw off a United States–Canada bid from an Australian sports–marketing agency. Organisers partnered with the UK Cabinet Office as part of a commitment to the Northern Powerhouse, with 87 percent of all matches to be held in northern towns and cities.

The Ireland national wheelchair rugby league team represents Ireland in wheelchair rugby league. They have competed at the World Cup, the European Championships, the Celtic Cup and Four Nations competitions.

The Celtic Cup is an international wheelchair rugby league tournament contested annually by Scotland, Ireland and Wales. It was first held as a two-match series between Scotland and Ireland in 2015 which was won by Ireland. Wales joined in 2016 to create a three-team round-robin tournament and have won the cup six times between 2016 and 2022.
