Luton Town Football Club is a professional football club based in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, that competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football. Founded in 1885, they are nicknamed the Hatters, due to the historical association of the town with the hat making trade, and have played home matches at Kenilworth Road since 1905. The club's history includes one major trophy win, several financial crises, as well as numerous promotions and relegations. Between 1982 and 1992, they were a member of the First Division; they won their first major honour, the Football League Cup, in 1988. Luton Town have a long-standing rivalry with nearby club Watford.

Luton Hoo railway station was built by the Hertford, Luton & Dunstable Railway on the branch line between Hatfield and Dunstable. It opened in 1860 and was originally called New Mill End. In 1861 the railway was taken over by the Great Northern Railway. The name changed to Luton Hoo in 1891 and the station closed in 1965. The last passenger train, packed with enthusiasts, was hauled by Brush Type 2 D5589 on 24 April 1965.

The club has held the Piccadilly Medal in 1970–71 and the Martini International and has also hosted the Welsh Amateur Golf event.

It was established in 1932 on the Ashridge Estate. The club has hosted the numerous PGA events and hosted the Open Championship' Regional Qualifying Competition for six years between 2003 and 2008. The course measures 6,663 yards. A new clubhouse was built to accommodate for the Open Championship qualifiers in 2003.
