The EWHL Super Cup is an ice hockey tournament for women's club teams organized by the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation (HIHF/MJSZ) and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). [1] It was founded by the IIHF in 2011 in an effort to provided opportunity for clubs to compete and compare themselves against teams from other European leagues. [2] [3]

The Croatian women's national ice hockey team represents Croatia at the International Ice Hockey Federation's IIHF World Women's Championships. The women's national team is controlled by Croatian Ice Hockey Federation. As of 2011, Croatia has 39 female players. Croatia is ranked 33rd in the IIHF World Ranking.

The European Women's Hockey League, abbreviated EWHL, is an international ice hockey league. Created as the Elite Women's Hockey League in 2004 by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), the EWHL comprises clubs from several countries in Central Europe and one team from Kazakhstan, and is played in parallel to national championships.

The Women's Ice Hockey Bundesliga or DEBL is an Austrian ice hockey league. It was founded in 1998 and is organized by the Austrian Ice Hockey Association (ÖEHV). Originally established as the Austrian Championship league in women's ice hockey, the national championshup has been contested in a separate tournament since the introduction of international teams to the DEBL in the 2008–09 season. Austria had 652 female players in 2013.

Zoltán Kovács is a Hungarian ice hockey coach and administrator. He joined the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation as a secretary in 1994, then served as its general secretary from 1998 to 2017, and has served as its vice-president since 2017. He played for the Hungary men's national junior ice hockey team in 1980, and was its manager in 2003 when the team earned promotion to Division I of the IIHF World U20 Championship. He played professionally for Ferencvárosi TC, and sat on several International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) committees. The IIHF named Kovács as the 2020 Paul Loicq Award recipient, for his contributions to the IIHF and international hockey.

The 2020–21 EWHL season was the seventeenth season of the European Women's Hockey League (EWHL) since the league's creation in 2004. It was the second season since the league's administrative and organizational duties were transferred to the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation (HIHF/MJSZ).

Lotti Odnoga is a Hungarian ice hockey defenseman and member of the Hungarian national team, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with SDE Hockey.

Zsófia Tóth is a Hungarian ice hockey goaltender and member of the Hungarian national ice hockey team, currently playing with the women's representative team of Hokiklub Budapest in the European Women's Hockey League (EWHL). She was named the Hungarian Female Goaltender of the Year by the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation (MJSZ) in 2021.
