Greentown is a town in Liberty Township, Howard County, Indiana, United States. Located approximately 9 miles east of Kokomo on State Road 22 / US 35; it is home to the Howard County Fair Grounds. The town was platted in 1848, and incorporated as a town in 1873. Known for its collectible glassware made for only a few years by a local factory destroyed in 1903, it is home to the Greentown Glass Museum. As of the 2010 census, the town's population was 2,415.
Kokomo is a city in Indiana and the county seat of Howard County, Indiana, United States. It is the principal city of the Kokomo, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Howard County, the Kokomo-Peru CSA, which includes Howard and Miami counties, as well as the North Central Indiana region consisting of six counties anchored by the city of Kokomo. Kokomo's population increased from 45,468 at the 2010 census to 59,604 in the 2020 census.

Bloomington is a city in and the county seat of Monroe County in the central region of the U.S. state of Indiana. State Road 22 is an east–west discontinuous state road in the central part of the US state of Indiana. The western end of the western segment is in the town of Burlington, at SR 29. The highway passes through rural areas of Carroll and Howard counties, before ending in Kokomo. The eastern segment begins at an interchange with U.S. Route 31 and US 35, in Kokomo, and heads east passing through towns and cities like Greentown, Gas City and Upland, before ending at SR 26. The western segment of SR 22 is concurrent with US 35 from Kokomo to Interstate 69 (I-69). The entire road covers a distance of about 45 miles (72 km), passing through mostly rural areas.
The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is the school district that manages and runs the public schools of Howard County, Maryland. It operates under the supervision of an elected, eight-member Board of Education. Dr. Chao Wu is the Chairman of the Board. Michael J. Martirano has served as the Superintendent since May 2017.

Liberty Township hosts the Howard County fair each year in July in Greentown, which is the second biggest town in Howard County, and third biggest in the Kokomo Metropolitan Area after only Kokomo, and Tipton.

The East Gibson School Corporation is the smallest of the three public school governing institutions in Gibson County in both land area and student body with just over 1,000 students. The EGSC is responsible for a district including three townships of easternmost Gibson County; Barton, Center, and Columbia. Waldo J. Wood Memorial Jr/Sr High School, Barton Township School, Francisco Elementary School, and Oakland City Elementary School make up the facilities of the district. Buckskin, Francisco, Mackey, Oakland City, and Somerville are the towns served by the East Gibson School Corporation. Waldo J. Wood Memorial Jr/Sr High School is the smallest of Gibson County's three high schools at 382 students.
Paul Barbour "Shorty" Parker was an American football and basketball coach. He served as the head football coach at Ball Teachers College, Eastern Division, Indiana State Normal School—renamed Ball State Teachers College in 1929 and now known as Ball State University—from 1928 to 1929, compiling a record of 3–9–2. Parker was also the head basketball coach at Ball State from 1925 to 1930, tallying a mark of 55–34.
Eastern Junior-Senior High School is a public middle school and high school located in Greentown, Indiana serviced by the Eastern Howard School Corporation. It had 684 students enrolled for the 2012–2013 school year.
Forest Park Jr./Sr. High School is a 7–12 grade public learning institution located in Ferdinand, Indiana. It serves the Southeast Dubois County School Corporation.
Jay County Jr. - Sr.High School is a public high school located on the outskirts of Portland, Indiana. It was formed in 1975 as a consolidation of Bryant, Dunkirk, Pennville, Portland, and Redkey Indiana's individual high schools for the respective city. In 2020, the school was built to hold seventh and eight grade students.
Randolph Southern Junior-Senior High School is a public high school located in Lynn, Indiana.
