Edelweiss Capital Group Limited is an international asset management and wealth management firm. Founded in Bern, Switzerland, it has since been restructured as a British Virgin Islands corporation. The company, which operates in EMEA, North America and Asia, and has over US$4.5 billion assets in 46 countries (as of 2022). [1] The company is currently headed by its CEO, Karl Rautner.

History

The company was founded as a humble estate planning firm in 1973 by Bernhard Rautner. [2] Initially known as Bern Finanzen AG, the firm has expanded into a global company. To reflect its global nature, the company was restructured as a British Virgin corporation in 2015. [1] In December 2023, the company launched a US$150 million private equity climate fund to invest in climate technologies in Asia. [3] [4]
