Edmund C. Moy (born September 12,1957) is an American businessman and former government official. From 2006 to 2011,he served as the 38th Director of the United States Mint.
Born in Detroit,Michigan on September 12,1957,Moy was raised in Waukesha,Wisconsin,where he worked in his parents' restaurant while growing up. He is a 1975 graduate of Waukesha North High School and a 1979 graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison,where he graduated with a triple major in economics,international relations,and political science. [3] At UW–Madison,Moy was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity.
Moy is an active participant in organizations representing the Asian-American community,as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Christianity Today International. He was elected as the Grand Crysophylos (Treasurer) for Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity at the 54th Biennial Conclave held in Las Vegas,Nevada on August 7,2007. He then became Grand Grammateus (Secretary),followed by Grand Epiprytanis (Vice President). He was named the Teke Alumnus of the Year in 2005. [4] He was elected Grand Prytanis (President) at the 2011 Conclave.
For two-and-one-half years,beginning in 1997,Moy suffered from a debilitating nerve illness,which was later cured by brain surgery. [5]
Moy is married to Karen Johnson Moy,and has a daughter that was adopted from China,named Nora Sue Moy (born in 2005). [1] : 71
From 1979 to 1989,Moy worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield United of Wisconsin. [1] : 74 Moy then served as Director of the Office of Managed Care at the Health Care Financing Administration during the George H. W. Bush administration. [1] : 73 From 1994 to 2001,he worked for a number of private-sector companies. [1] : 73 From 2001 to 2006,Moy served in the George W. Bush administration as Special Assistant to the President for Presidential Personnel. [1] : 73 He oversaw the selection of candidates for presidential appointments in the general areas of human,natural,and cultural resources. [6] In 2003,he served on the transition team for the newly created Department of Homeland Security. [7]
On June 29,2006,President Bush nominated Moy to serve as the 38th Director of the United States Mint. [1] : 71 He was sworn in on September 5,2006. [3] Moy earned the Alexander Hamilton Medal for public service,awarded by then-Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson,Jr. [8] Moy announced his resignation as Director of the United States Mint on December 20,2010,effective January 9,2011. After leaving the United States Mint,Moy became Vice President Corporate Infrastructure for L&L Energy,Inc. [2] [9] As of 2014,he is the chief strategist for Fortress Gold Group. [10] [11] Moy also writes occasional articles for Moneynews.com. [12] In November 2021,Moy joined the thought leadership team at U.S. Money Reserve as Senior IRA Strategist. [13]

Delta Kappa Epsilon (ΔΚΕ),commonly known as DKE or Deke,is one of the oldest fraternities in the United States,with fifty-six active chapters and five active colonies across North America. It was founded at Yale College in 1844 by fifteen sophomores who were discontent with the existing fraternity order on campus. Theta Kappa Nu (ΘΚΝ) Fraternity was an American national collegiate fraternity founded in 1924 by delegates from eleven local fraternities. It merged with Lambda Chi Alpha in 1939.
Phi Sigma Epsilon (ΦΣΕ) was a North American social fraternity that operated for 75 years until its merger with the Phi Sigma Kappa (ΦΣΚ) fraternity. In 1985,the majority of Phi Sigma Epsilon chapters participated in the merger. Phi Sigma Kappa incorporated many of the symbols of Phi Sigma Epsilon into its own,changing its crest,and expanding its Cardinal Principals,symbolism,rituals,and historical canon to embrace the milestones of Phi Sigma Epsilon's development. These changes were soon fully adopted by all chapters of the fraternity which retained the name Phi Sigma Kappa.
Phi Sigma Phi,(ΦΣΦ) is a national fraternity in the United States founded on July 30,1988 in South Bend,Indiana by chapters formerly of Phi Sigma Epsilon that declined to participate in that fraternity's merger into Phi Sigma Kappa. There are currently 5 active chapters of Phi Sigma Phi nationwide. The current National President is University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Alumn Joshua Finch.

The fraternity was established on August 17,2001,in Tallahassee,Florida. The fraternity has over 200 members in the United States. Kappa Psi Kappa celebrated its 10th anniversary on August 17,2011.
Sigma Theta Epsilon (ΣΘΕ) was an interdenominational national Christian fraternal organization whose last active chapter appears to have ceased operations in 2022. Its first name as an emerging national fraternity was Delta Sigma Theta in November 1941,but due to the threat of a lawsuit over that name by a sorority with prior use,in April 1949 the new name,Sigma Theta Epsilon Christian Fraternity,was chosen. Sigma Theta Epsilon traces its history from Phi Tau Theta (local)'s founding in April 7,1925 at Lincoln,Nebraska and Sigma Epsilon Theta (local)'s founding on October 8,1936 at Indiana University.
Tau Kappa Epsilon (ΤΚΕ),commonly known as ΤΚΕ or Teke,is a social college fraternity founded on January 10,1899,at Illinois Wesleyan University. The organization has chapters throughout the United States and Canada,making the Fraternity an international organization. Since its founding in 1899,Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity has never had an exclusionary or discriminatory clause to prevent individuals from joining and has instead admitted members based on their "personal worth and character". As of fall 2023,there are 221 active ΤΚΕchapters and colonies with over 298,000-lifetime members.
Brian Darrell Montgomery is an American government official who served as the United States Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 2020 to 2021. Montgomery previously served as Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner from 2005 to 2009 and from 2018 to 2020.
