Development aid Financial aid given support the development of developing countries

Development aid or development cooperation is a financial aid given by governments and other agencies to support the economic, environmental, social, and political development of developing countries. It can be further defined as "aid expended in a manner that is anticipated to promote development, whether achieved through economic growth or other means". It is distinguished from humanitarian aid by focusing on alleviating poverty in the long term, rather than a short term response. According to theories and statistics development aid is a probable measure to achieve economic growth in developing countries.This as a result is a major way to meet sustainable development goal 1 for the developing nations.

David Stanton Irish Fine Gael politician

David Stanton is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cork East constituency since 1997. He previously served as Minister of State for Equality, Immigration and Integration from 2016 to 2020.

The United Nations Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI) is an initiative launched by the United Nations in 2000 at the World Education Forum in Dakar at the primary school Ndiarème B. It aims to reduce the gap in schooling for girls and to give girls equal access to all levels of education.

Sexuality in China

Sexuality in China has undergone revolutionary changes and this "sexual revolution" still continues today. Chinese sexual attitudes, behaviors, ideology, and relations have changed dramatically in the past decade of reform and opening up of the country. Many of these changes have found expression in the public forum through a variety of behaviors and ideas. These include, but are not limited to the following cultural shifts: a separation of sex and marriage, such as pre- and extramarital sex; a separation of sex from love and child-bearing such as Internet sex and one-night stands; an increase in observable sexual diversity such as homo- and bisexual behavior and fetishism; an increase in socially acceptable displays and behaviors of female sexual desire; a boom in the sex industry; and a more open discussion of sex topics, including sex studies at colleges, media reports, formal publications, on-line information, extensive public health education, and public displays of affection.

Social welfare in China has undergone various changes throughout history. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security is responsible for the social welfare system.

Kaka Bag-ao

Arlene "Kaka" J. Bag-ao is a Filipino human rights lawyer and agrarian reform advocate who was a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines between 2010 and 2019. Currently, she serves as the Governor of the Province of the Dinagat Islands - since June 30, 2019. She has been dubbed as the 'Dragon Slayer' after consecutively defeating two of the most prominent members of the most influential political dynasty in the Dinagat Islands. One of them, the Ecleo family.

Women in Finland

Women in Finland enjoy a "high degree of equality" and "traditional courtesy" among men. In 1906, the women of Finland became the first women in Europe to be granted the right to vote. There are many women in Finland who hold prominent positions in Finnish society, in the academics, in the field of business, and in the government of Finland. An example of powerful women in Finnish politics is Tarja Halonen, who became the first female president of the country. In religion, where most of the Finnish people are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, women can be ordained as priests. In terms of finance, Finnish women have been described as "usually independent financially". Married women, by custom, introduces themselves by mentioning their forename first, then their maiden name, and then the surname of their husbands. The Telegraph has written:

Finnish women are much more outgoing and approachable than the men and often command three or four languages. Their position in society and business is well-respected and superior to that of women in most other cultures.

Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) is a New York-based political action committee whose mission is to encourage the Democratic Party to embrace policies which will change American public education, including more charter schools and stricter teacher evaluations. The group wants the Democratic Party to embrace so-called education reform, such as standardized testing and the Common Core educational standards. Chalkbeat, a nonprofit news organization that covers education, has called the group "a national pro-charter advocacy group."

Association for the Support of Contemporary Living

Association for the Support of Contemporary Living is a non-profit NGO in Turkey. The main office is in İstanbul and there are 103 branch offices nationwide. The association helps girls across Turkey to obtain an education, ultimately promoting gender equality.

May Sabai Phyu

May Sabai Phyu is a Kachin activist from Burma. She is active in promoting human rights, freedom of expression, peace, justice for Myanmar's ethnic minorities, anti-violence in Kachin State, and lately in combating violence against women and promoting gender equality issues.

Eugenic feminism

Eugenic feminism was a component of the women's suffrage movement which overlapped with eugenics. Originally coined by the eugenicist Caleb Saleeby, the term has since been applied to summarize views held by some prominent feminists of the United States. Some early suffragettes in Canada, particularly a group known as The Famous Five, also pushed for eugenic policies, chiefly in Alberta and British Columbia.
