Eldorado is an unincorporated community in Tift County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. [1]

History

A variant name was "Fender". [1] A post office called Fender was established in 1898, and remained in operation until 1959. [2] The present name is derived from Spanish meaning "golden one". [3]

Until July 1, 2010, East Central Technical College was a technical college within the Technical College System of Georgia. The school served the counties of Ben Hill/Irwin, Coffee, Atkinson, and Wilcox. Tift and Turner counties were originally to have been part of the school's area, but opted out before it began. The school also previously had campuses in Turner and Telfair counties, but in 2001 the Turner campus was transferred to Moultrie Technical College, and the Telfair campus to Heart of Georgia Technical College.

Ellabell is an unincorporated community in Bryan County, Georgia, United States. It is on the outskirts of Savannah, It is located on Georgia Route 204 about 7 miles east of Pembroke, Georgia, and about 23 miles west of Savannah. The Community is centered around an intersection of GA SR 204 and Black Creek Church Road, which is a county road. The Georgia Central Railway which runs parallel to GA SR 204 also passes through Ellabell. Ellabell is the location of Glen Echo, which is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Ellabell is located in the Savannah metropolitan area.
