Elha Mae Fronda Nympha (born April 16, 2004) is a Filipino singer who won the second season of The Voice Kids in 2015. [3] She started singing at the age of 3 and started joining a school competition at the age of 7, where she won a rotary competition on Amaranth on February 18, 2014. At the age of 9, she auditioned for the first season of The Voice Kids but did not make it. In 2015, she tried her fate again and auditioned for the second season, which she won. Nympha won a recording contract with MCA Music Inc. (Philippines), a Universal Music Group company in 2015, [5] with her self-titled studio album, Elha, released on October 7, 2016, with the carrier singles "Susunduin", "Emotions", and "Love on Top". [10]

Nympha was a member of the all-female vocal group New Gen Divas together with Janine Berdin, Sheena Belarmino and Fana.

Early life

She lived at Kamuning, near EDSA, GMA Building and MRT-3 Kamuning station. She was selling banana cue to support herself and her family. [10] Her mother, Lucy noticed that Elha has a talent for singing.

Career

2015: The Voice Kids

On the blind auditions, she performed Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love". Coach Bamboo Mañalac pressed the button for her. She advanced to the sing-off round by winning the battles against Kate Campo and Paul Abellana. They sang "Your Love" by Alamid. She was picked until the live shows, and she was called second for the Top 4 together with Reynan del-anay, Esang de Torres and Sassa Dagdag. On her performance in the finale, Nympha received 42.16% of the votes, and won the season, giving Mañalac his first victory on the show. [11]

2016–present: International appearances, Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids, New Gen Divas

In 2016, she released her first album. In December 2016 she was a guest performer in the grand final of The Voice Kids Indonesia. Then in 2017, she took part in the first season of Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids. Nympha appeared during the second season of Steve Harvey's Little Big Shots where she performed Sia's "Chandelier". She also participated at the French version of Little Big Shots named Little Big Stars presented by Cyril Hanouna where she covered the same song. [12] In 2019, a girl group was formed called J.E.Z. where Nympha is a member of along with Janine Berdin and Zephanie. The group would take a hiatus in March 2020, but would reform in 2021 with the addition of Sheena Belarmino as a new member of the group and it would be rebranded to New Gen Divas. The reformed group debuted in April 2021, following Zephanie's return to ASAP, with Nympha representing the color blue in the said group.

In July 2022, Nympha was signed to UMG Philippines' newest label, Republic Records Philippines.

<i>The Voice Kids</i> (Philippine TV series) Filipino TV series or program

The Voice Kids is a Philippine reality singing television competition on ABS-CBN. It aired from May 24, 2014 to May 21, 2023, replacing Bet on Your Baby and was replaced by Everybody, Sing!. A spinoff of The Voice of the Philippines, the series, like its parent show, is based on the original The Voice of Holland, and is part of the wider The Voice franchise. It aims to feature young aspiring singers aged 6–12. It is the fourth national franchise in the Southeast Asian region to produce a kids' edition of the show, after Thailand and Vietnam. Since its inaugural season, it has aired a total of five seasons. The winners of the five seasons were: Lyca Gairanod, Elha Nympha, Joshua Oliveros, Vanjoss Bayaban, and Shane Bernabe.

The second season of The Voice Kids premiered on June 6, 2015, on ABS-CBN. Lea Salonga, Bamboo Mañalac and Sarah Geronimo returned to the show as coaches. Luis Manzano also returned as host, accompanied by Robi Domingo and Yeng Constantino as the show's backstage and media hosts.

The third season of The Voice Kids was a Philippine reality singing competition on ABS-CBN. Lea Salonga and Bamboo Mañalac returned to the show as coaches. Sarah Geronimo left the show to focus on her other projects, such as ASAP, and a new album. As a result, Sharon Cuneta replaced her as a coach. Luis Manzano and Robi Domingo returned to host the show; however, Yeng Constantino was replaced by Kim Chiu. Constantino didn't return to the show due to her earlier commitments with some other programs.

The duo was called "Lucky Aces." The TNT Boys is a Filipino boy band made up of three of the pre-to-early teen finalists of the 2017 television competition Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids. The fourth season of The Voice Kids is a Philippine reality singing competition on ABS-CBN. Lea Salonga and Bamboo Mañalac reprised their roles as coaches, while Sarah Geronimo returned as a coach for the fourth season, replacing Sharon Cuneta who left the show to focus on her other projects.

Zephanie Odhene Liwag Dimaranan, known mononymously as Zephanie, is a Filipino singer, actress and host. She is known as the winner of the first season of Idol Philippines. Dimaranan is dubbed as "This Generation's Pop Princess" in the country by various media outlets.

The second season of Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids is an amateur singing competition that currently airs as a segment of the noontime show It's Showtime that premiered on January 29, 2024. Dubbed as "Your all time favorite search for outstanding amateur talents", the competition is open to Filipino child contenders from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Preliminary auditions are currently being held.
