Biography

Henry attended high school in Cincinnati, Ohio then Hope College on a creative writing scholarship with plans to study dance. [1] She also completed a writing residency at the now-defunct New York Center for Art & Media Studies, part of Bethel University. [2] She returned to Cincinnati after college; she currently lives and writes in Cincinnati and Kentucky's Northern Ohio River region. She is a full-time writer and proofreader. [3]

Writing career

Her debut young adult novel, The Love That Split the World, was published in January 2016. [4] [5] After writing several young adult novels, Henry's first adult romance novel, Beach Read, was published in 2020 to widespread success. [6] Her books have been featured in BuzzFeed, O, The Oprah Magazine , Entertainment Weekly , The New York Times , The Skimm, Shondaland, and more. She continued to write adult romance novels, publishing People We Meet on Vacation in 2021, Book Lovers in 2022 and Happy Place in 2023. [7] The release date for her latest novel, Funny Story, has been announced for April 24, 2024. [8] As of March 2023, Henry had sold more than 2.4 million books collectively. [9]

Film adaptations of Henry's first three adult novels are currently in the works. In October 2022, a film adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation by Sony's 3000 Pictures from a screenplay by Yulin Kuang was announced, with Brett Haley directing and Temple Hill producing. [10] On March 28, 2023, a film adaptation of Book Lovers by the production company Tango was announced, with Sarah Heyward attached to write the script. [11] One week later, on April 5, it was announced that Kuang would also write and direct a film adaptation of Beach Read for 20th Century. [12]

Charlie Nicholes Holmberg is an American fantasy writer best known for The Paper Magician series. She is from Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in English in 2010. Her first novel, The Paper Magician, was released in 2014. Holmberg expanded the book into a series, the film rights for which were purchased by Disney in 2016. In addition to her other book series, Holmberg has published six standalone novels with her seventh to be released July 1, 2024. She is a multi-Whitney Award recipient for The Fifth Doll (2017), The Will and the Wilds (2020) and Star Mother (2021). The Hanging City was a 2023 Goodreads Choice Awards Finalist. Many of her other works have been nominated for literary awards as well. In addition to writing, Holmberg cohosts the podcast Your Mom Writes Books.

Rebecca F. Kuang is an American fantasy novelist. Her first novel, The Poppy War, was released in 2018, followed by the sequels The Dragon Republic in 2019 and The Burning God in 2020. Kuang released a stand-alone novel, Babel, or the Necessity of Violence in 2022. Her newest book is Yellowface, a satirical novel which was published in 2023. Kuang holds graduate degrees in Sinology from Magdalene College, Cambridge, and University College, Oxford, and is currently studying at Yale University.
