QAnon is a far-right American political conspiracy theory and political movement which originated in 2017. QAnon centers on fabricated claims made by an anonymous individual or individuals known as "Q". Those claims have been relayed and developed by online communities and influencers. Their core belief is that a cabal of Satanic,cannibalistic child molesters are operating a global child sex trafficking ring which conspired against Donald Trump. QAnon has direct roots in Pizzagate,an Internet conspiracy theory that appeared one year earlier,but also incorporates elements of many other theories. QAnon has been described as a cult.

A member of the Republican Party,he represented the 37th district in the Nevada Assembly,covering parts of the northwestern Las Vegas Valley,from 2016 to 2018. A staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump,Marchant was the Republican nominee for Nevada's 4th congressional district in 2020 and for Secretary of State of Nevada in 2022.

A former Air Force officer and National Security Agency contractor,Riggleman opened a craft distillery in Virginia in 2014. As a Republican,he ran for his party's nomination in the 2017 gubernatorial election,but withdrew from the race. Riggleman was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2018. Riggleman co-authored a book with Hunter Walker titled The Breach,which was published in October 2022. The book detailed his work on the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack.

Stanton-King has shown support for QAnon,which espouses a number of far-right conspiracy theories.

The primary elections on August 11,2020,determined which candidates appeared on the ballot for the general election. It consists of the communities of Bethlehem,Bridgewater,Oxford,Roxbury,Southbury,Washington,Watertown,Woodbury,and parts of Bethel,Brookfield,Middlebury and Seymour.
