Erick McIntosh (born May 27, 1987) is an American football defensive back for the San Antonio Gunslingers. He played college football at Florida Atlantic University. He has also been a member of the Tampa Bay Storm, Orlando Predators, Iowa Barnstormers and Jacksonville Sharks.

Early years

McIntosh played high school football at Lehigh Senior High School in Lehigh Acres, Florida. He recorded 62 tackles and an interception his senior year. [1]

College career

McIntosh played for the Florida Atlantic Owls from 2005 to 2009. [2] He was redshirted in 2005. [1] He started four games and compiled 53 tackles his senior season. [3]

Tampa Bay Storm

McIntosh signed with the Tampa Bay Storm on May 26, 2010, after going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft. [5] He recorded 40 tackles and two interceptions his rookie year in 2010. He led the Storm in tackles with 102 and tied for the team-lead with four interceptions in 2011. McIntosh accumulated 72.5 tackles and two interceptions in 2012. [3]

Orlando Predators

McIntosh was signed by the Orlando Predators on November 8, 2012. [6]

Iowa Barnstormers

McIntosh was traded to the Iowa Barnstormers for Gershom Jordan on March 12, 2013. [7] He recorded 51.5 tackles and four interceptions in thirteen games in 2013. [3]

Orlando Predators

McIntosh signed with the Orlando Predators on May 15, 2014. [6] He collected 21.5 tackles in four starts in 2014. [3]

Jacksonville Sharks

McIntosh signed with the Jacksonville Sharks on December 14, 2016. [8]

The 2013 Tampa Bay Storm season was the 26th season for the franchise in the Arena Football League, and their 22nd in the Tampa Bay area. The team was coached by Dave Ewart and played their home games at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The Storm lost their last seven regular season games but were still able to qualify for the playoffs. However, they were eliminated in the conference semifinals by the Jacksonville Sharks by a score of 69–62.

The 2014 Orlando Predators season was the 23rd season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Rob Keefe, who was in his first season with the team. They played their home games at CFE Arena, located on the campus of the University of Central Florida, after Amway Center informed the team that they had defaulted on their lease with the arena for failing to meet attendance requirements.

The 2014 Jacksonville Sharks season was the fifth season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Les Moss and played their home games at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Finishing with a 7–11 record, this was the first season in the franchise's history that the team not only failed reach the playoffs, but also failed to win the division.
