The foreign relations of the Dominican Republic are the Dominican Republic's relations with other governments.
The Mirabal sisters were four sisters from the Dominican Republic, three of whom opposed the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo and were involved in clandestine activities against his regime. The three sisters were assassinated on 25 November 1960. The last sister, Adela, who was not involved in political activities at the time, died of natural causes on 1 February 2014.

Idelisa Bonnelly de Calventi was a Dominican marine biologist who is considered the "mother of marine conservation in the Caribbean". She was the founder of the study of biology in the Dominican Republic, as well as the founder of the Institute of Marine Biology and the Dominican Foundation for Marine Research. She was instrumental in the creation of the first Humpback Whale Sanctuary of the North Atlantic and has won numerous awards, including induction into the UNEP's Global 500 Roll of Honour, UNESCO's Marie Curie Medal and the Order of Merit of Duarte, Sánchez and Mella. The BBC has called her one of the most important women scientists in Latin America.
Josefina Stubbs is a development practitioner and was nominated by the Government of the Dominican Republic for President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in the 2017 elections. Josefina Stubbs has dedicated her career to the plight of poor women and men around the world. Between 1984 and 2000, she managed national and regional programs for Oxfam UK where she strongly advocated for smallholder farmers’ participation in decision-making and project design. Between 2000 and 2008, Stubbs led several initiatives at the World Bank aimed to strengthen the inclusion and participation of rural communities and marginalized groups in development policies and investment programs. In IFAD, where she served from 2008 until 2016 – when her candidacy for President of IFAD was announced – Stubbs focused on fostering dialogue and collaboration within and between countries, improving aid effectiveness and impact measurement, and design IFAD’s strategy for 2016-2025. She has contributed to position IFAD as the world’s leader in inclusive rural transformation, and placed smallholder farmers at the center of Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development.

María de los Ángeles Trinidad de Moya Pérez, known as just Trina de Moya, was a Dominican Republic poet and writer. She served as the First Lady of the Dominican Republic as the wife of President Horacio Vásquez for three nonconsecutive terms. De Moya was the first Dominican presidential wife to be called "first lady", a title which came into widespread public usage during her third tenure from 1924 to 1930.

Carolina Díaz Pimentel is a Peruvian journalist, who covers issues related to mental health and neurodivergence. She was named in the BBC 100 Women list in November 2023.
