Eureka High School, located in Eureka, Missouri, is a secondary school in the Rockwood School District. Eureka High School was the first high school in what would become the Rockwood School District. The high school opened in 1908 and was fully accredited within four years. [2]

Eureka has a co-educational student body of 1,678 in the 2018–19 school year. More than half of the students come from LaSalle Springs Middle School, with a large portion of the rest coming from Wildwood Middle School. The racial makeup of the school is 87.7% white, 6.0% black, and 1.9% Hispanic. [2]

The 2005 Seattle Seahawks season was the franchise's 30th season in the National Football League (NFL), their fourth playing their home games at Qwest Field and their seventh season under head coach Mike Holmgren. They won the National Football Conference (NFC) Championship Game and played in Super Bowl XL, which they lost 21–10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Seahawks compiled a 13–3 record in the regular season, easily winning the NFC West and earning the NFC top seed, thus clinching home field advantage in the NFC playoffs for the first time in franchise history. There, they beat the Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers to win the George Halas Trophy, and advance to their first ever Super Bowl. Combining the regular season and postseason, the Seahawks finished with a perfect 10–0 record at Qwest Field. The 2005 team was widely considered the best team in club history until the Super Bowl XLVIII championship. The 2005 season was also the team's 30th anniversary season in the NFL. The Seahawks were the only NFC team from the 2004 playoffs to qualify for the 2005 playoffs.

The Rams–Seahawks rivalry is an American football rivalry between the National Football League (NFL)'s Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks. While the teams first met in 1976, the rivalry did not develop until the early 2000s, specifically around 2002, when the Seahawks were placed with the Rams in the NFC West, allowing for two annual meetings between the teams. Geography somewhat comes into play as both Los Angeles and Seattle are approximately 1,100 miles apart along Interstate 5 connected along the western seaboard of the continental United States. Both teams initially found success at varying times until the Rams' relocation back to Los Angeles in 2016, amplifying the hostility of the rivalry as both teams regularly fought for playoff success. With both teams winning a Super Bowl between 2013 and 2021, both teams usually escalated their bi-annual regular season matchups into a bitter fight for control of the division.
