Eurocadres

EUROCADRES is the Council of European Professional and Managerial Staff. It is an organisation associated to the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC). EUROCADRES is recognised by the European Commission as a European social partner. [1]

EUROCADRES covers both the public and private sectors and uniting more than 5 million professional and managerial staff. [2]

In 2016 Eurocadres initiated the campaign platform WhistleblowerProtection.EU, which successfully [3] campaigned for a whistleblower protection in the European Union. 89 organisations participated in the platform, including civil society organizations such as Transparency International and several national and European trade union organisations.

The current President is Nayla Glaise (from UGICT-CGT the French Union générale des ingénieurs, cadres et techniciens CGT) elected in October 2021 to replace Martin Jefflén (from TCO, the Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees), elected in 2013 to replace fr:Carlo Parietti (from the Italian General Confederation of Labour). Carlo Parietti was elected in 2005 to replace the founder President [4] [5] fr:Michel Rousselot (from the Confédération Française Démocratique du Travail).

Works councils exist with different names in a variety of related forms in a number of European countries, including Great Britain ; Germany and Austria (Betriebsrat); Luxembourg ; the Netherlands and Flanders in Belgium (ondernemingsraad); Italy ; France ; Wallonia in Belgium, Spain and Denmark.

The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) is the major trade union organisation representing workers at the European level. In its role as a European social partner, the ETUC works both in a consulting role with the European Commission and negotiates agreements and work programmes with European employers. It coordinates the national and sectoral policies of its affiliates on social and economic matters, particularly in the framework of the EU institutional processes, including European economic governance and the EU Semester.

European Works Councils (EWC) are information and consultation bodies representing employees in European multinational companies.

The European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises or SMEunited is an umbrella group for associations of SMEs based in Brussels, Belgium. SMEunited represents the interests of European crafts, trades and SMEs at EU level. Its 67 member organisations from 34 European countries consist of national cross-sectorial SME federations, European branch federations and other associate members. Its members combined represent more than 12 million enterprises, which employ around 50 million people across Europe. SMEunited is a recognised European Social Partner.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions</span>

The All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions is a national trade union center founded in 1984.

A company or "yellow" union is a worker organization which is dominated or unduly influenced by an employer and is therefore not an independent trade union. Company unions are contrary to international labour law. They were outlawed in the United States by the 1935 National Labor Relations Act §8(a)(2), due to their use as agents for interference with independent unions. However, company unions persist in many countries.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine</span>

The Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine is an all-Ukrainian voluntary association of trade unions. It is the largest trade union confederation in Ukraine, with more than 4.8 million members. As of 1 August 2019, 44 national trade unions and 27 regional trade unions were affiliated to the FPU.

Trade unions in Armenia are afforded the right to organize by the Constitution of Armenia. Armenian workers in most sectors have the right to form and join labor unions and the right to strike is enshrined in Armenia’s constitution.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Conseil Européen des Jeunes Agriculteurs</span>

The Conseil Européen des Jeunes Agriculteurs (CEJA) is an umbrella organisation gathering young farmers from all over Europe and is one of the key advocates for the agricultural sector in Europe. This non-profit organisation has, at present, 28 member organisations and one observer members from EU member states, representing around one million young farmers. Its office is located in Brussels.

The European Federation of Journalists is the European regional organisation of the International Federation of Journalists. It describes itself as the largest organisation of journalists in Europe, and says it represents about 320,000 journalists in 71 journalists’ organisations across 43 countries. It is headquartered in Brussels.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council</span>

The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO) is a configuration of the Council of the European Union. It meets four times a year, with two of the meetings focusing on social policy and employment. It is composed of the employment, social affairs, health and consumer policy ministers from all EU member states.

The European Federation of Public Service Unions (EPSU) was founded in 1978 and represents eight million public service workers from over 260 trade union organisations. It is affiliated to the European Trade Union Confederation and is the recognised regional organisation of Public Services International. It represents the workers in the energy, water and waste sectors, health and social services and local, regional and central government in all European countries.
