Evan Williams (born July 28, 2001) is an American football safety for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Oregon Ducks.
Williams attended high school at St. Francis. Williams committed to play college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs. [1]
In Williams first collegiate season in 2019, he totaled 40 tackles, two pass deflections, an interception, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble. [2] Williams finished the 2020 season with 27 tackles and a forced fumble, where for his performance he was named an honorable mention member of the all Mountain West football team. [3] In the 2021 season, Williams notched 92 tackles with four and a half being for a loss, and three interceptions. For his performance in the 2021 season, Williams was named first team all Mountain West. [4] Williams finished the 2022 season with 69 tackles with six going for a loss, a sack, and four pass deflections. For his performance in the 2022 season, Williams was named second-team all-Mountain West. [5] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Williams decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal. [6] [7]

Williams was selected 111th overall by the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 NFL draft. [15] On May 14, he signed his contract with the Packers. [16]
Williams is the brother of former Oregon and NFL safety Bennett Williams. [17] [18]

The 2022 Oregon Ducks football team represented the University of Oregon during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by first-year head coach Dan Lanning. The Ducks played their home games at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, and competed as members of the Pac-12 Conference. The Ducks bid for the Pac 12 Championship would have been clinched if they won on November 26 against Oregon State or if Utah lost to Colorado. However, Oregon lost the game, meaning they had to rely on Washington losing to Washington State to avoid a three-way tie between them, Washington, and Utah, as the tiebreaker for teams that had mutually beat each other favored Utah, which came to pass when Washington won later that night, allowing Utah to reach the Pac 12 championship.
