The Evangelical Reformed Church (Westminster Confession) is a small Calvinist denomination with 5 congregations [1] in Austria and in Switzerland. It is in part a fruit of the missionary work of the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated). In 1984, the first congregation was established in Neuhofen an der Krems, Austria. [1] In 1998, a congregation was founded in Rankweil, [2] followed later at Winterthur in 2005, at Basel in 2008, and at the bilingual (German and English) Vienna congregation New City Wien in 2009 [3] was started with the help of World Harvest Mission/Serge. [4] Total membership is around 150. Some churches in the denomination receive financial support from the Dutch organization SSRO. [5] The Westminster Confession (1647) is the doctrinal basis of the denomination, together with the Heidelberg Catechism. [6] [7]

The Africa Evangelical Presbyterian Church (AEPC) is a growing conservative Presbyterian and Reformed Church which adheres to the Westminster Confession of Faith started in Kenya, later spread to the surrounding countries like Burundi, Tanzania, Congo and as far as Zimbabwe. The headquarters of the church is located in Nairobi, Kenya. The current Moderator is Rev. Dr Joseph Mutei installed on Sunday 26th June 2022.

The Free Church in Southern Africa grew out of the work of the missionaries of the Glasgow Missionary Society (c.1823), and after 1843 came under the care of missionaries of the Free Church of Scotland. Historically, the church has served mainly the Xhosa speaking people in eastern and western Cape region, stretching from Cape Town to Transkei. In 1900 the majority of the Free Church of Scotland joined with the United Presbyterian Church (Scotland) to form the United Free Church of Scotland. All the Free Church missionaries joined the United Free Church, leaving no missionaries to serve the many Xhosa Christians who remained faithful to the old Free Church. In 1908, in response to an appeal from the Xhosa church, Rev Alexander Dewar was appointed to King William's Town, and, for the next thirty-five years, served the church until he died in 1943. Four other missionaries, for longer or shorter periods, served alongside Mr Dewar. In 1944 the Rev Joseph McCracken of the Irish Evangelical Church served with others as Mr Dewar's successors. McCracken retired in 1974 and died in South Africa in 1987. In 1982 the church become independent, though remains in close connection with the Free Church of Scotland.

The Reformed Church in Austria is a Christian denomination in Austria. The origin of the church can traced to the Edict of Tolerance in 1781 and in 1861. The Counter-Reformation changed this, and Protestant worship was not permitted until the toleration act. Some Protestants were able to survive these decades in the valleys of the mountains of Carinthia and Upper Austria. In 1861 full freedom of Protestant worship and public practice were granted.

The Reformed Church in Japan is a confessional Calvinist denomination in Japan. It was formerly a member of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, but it chose to suspend its membership.

The Evangelical Reformed Church in Angola is a Reformed denomination in the country of Angola established by the missionaries of the Swiss Reformed church.

The Presbyterian Church in Japan is a conservative Reformed denomination in Japan, founded by American missionaries in the mid-1900s.

The Union of Evangelical Reformed Churches in Russia was formed after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990. In 1991, congregations were established in Tver and Moscow and a year later the denomination was formed. The church subscribes the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dort and the Apostles Creed. There are no women ordinated. Currently, it has three congregations in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan. The St. Petersburg congregation was formed as a result of a merger of a Korean and a traditional Russian church. The church begun to publish Calvinist literature in Russia.

The Presbyterian Church in Korea HapDongBoSu II was result of a split in the Presbyterian Church in Korea HapDongBoSu I. It had participated in the union movement to restore the unity of the Presbyterian Church in Korea (HapDong) but the attempt failed and it became an independent denomination. The HapDongBoSu I is a conservative Calvinist denomination opposed to both the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches. It belongs to the larger conservative denominations and runs nine seminaries and ten Bible schools. It has Presbyterian church government, the standards are the Westminster Confession and the Apostles Creed. In 2004, the church had 669,346 members in 1,300 congregations.

The Evangelical Reformed Church in Transcarpathia is a conservative Calvinist denomination in Transcarpathia. The church was founded in 2006. The new denomination separated from the Reformed Church in Transcarpathia because the liberal teaching of the church and the unbiblical episcopal government. The members are ethnic Hungarian. It has about 200 members in 6 congregations and Bible study classes in 12 villages. In 2007 the church was registered by the government. The denomination affirms the Westminster Confession of Faith, Second Helvetic Confession and the Heidelberg catechism. It has a presbyterian church government, with a synod and local presbyterian councils. The church established close relationship with the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated).
