Ezann Lee (born 5 February 1982) is a Singaporean actress and television host, who is best known for her roles in the television series Destiny (2005) and Making Miracles (2007). She has also appeared in the film Be with Me (2005), directed by Eric Khoo. [1] [2]

Life and career

Lee has an older sister, Ericia, who is also a television host and actress, and a younger sister, Eilania. [3]

Lee was educated at Saint Anthony's Canossian Secondary School and Serangoon Junior College. A former psychology student at the University of Queensland, she deferred her studies in 2003 to make her debut in the entertainment industry after being spotted by Kym Ng during a Channel U variety show. [3]

In June 2004, Lee signed a two-year contract with SPH MediaWorks, joining her older sister Ericia at the TV station. [4] [5] In September 2004, SPH MediaWorks announced that it would be merged with Mediacorp and in December 2004, it was reported that Lee was one of the 18 artistes who accepted an offer to join Mediacorp. [6]

In 2012, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management from Singapore Institute of Management. [2]

On 10 March 2003, at Singapore's Choa Chu Kang, 32-year-old Diana Teo Siew Peng was forcibly thrown off the tenth floor of her flat and she fell to her death. Teo's 38-year-old boyfriend Harith Gary Lee, alias Lee Cheng Thiam, was arrested for murdering the victim, and his crime was witnessed by Teo's father and 14-year-old son, as well as some of the neighbors. Lee was said to have killed Teo due to the deterioration of the couple's relationship, which lasted for about a year before Teo proposed to break up with Lee due to the unhappy issues she had over their relationship, causing Lee to harass Teo and it resulted in him throwing his girlfriend off the tenth floor. Lee was found guilty of murder on 16 April 2004, and sentenced to death. Lee's appeal was dismissed in September 2004, and he was hanged on 22 April 2005.
