Fabiana Mollica (born 25 December 1983) is an Italian bobsledder. She competed in the two woman event at the 2006 Winter Olympics. [1]
The Brazil women's national volleyball team is administrated by the Confederação Brasileira de Voleibol (CBV) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. It is ranked second in the FIVB World Rankings as of August 2021. They are the current record holder of FIVB World Grand Prix champion titles, having won it for the eleventh time in 2016 and are the gold medalists of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
Fabiana de Almeida Murer is a retired Brazilian pole vaulter. She holds the South American record in the event with an indoor best of 4.82 m and an outdoor best of 4.87 m, making her the fourth highest vaulter ever at the time, now the eighth. She won the gold medal at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics, at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships and also won at the 2007 Pan American Games. Murer represented Brazil at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. She is a four-time South American Champion with wins in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2011. Murer was coached by both the Ukrainian Vitaly Petrov, who managed the world record holders Sergei Bubka and Yelena Isinbayeva, and her husband, Élson Miranda de Souza, a former vaulter himself.
Aline Pellegrino, commonly known as Aline, is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a defender for Russian club WFC Rossiyanka and several clubs in her native Brazil. She was a member of the Brazil national team that won the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and competed at the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup. She was made captain of the national team in 2006.
Fabiana Marcelino Claudino is a Brazilian volleyball player who made her debut for the Brazilian national team against Croatia. She captained Brazil to the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.
Fabiana da Silva Simões, known as Fabiana or Fabiana Baiana, is a Brazilian football defender who last played for F.C. Barcelona in the Primera División, and for the Brazil national team. In 2009 and 2010 she played professional club football in the United States with Boston Breakers of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS). As well as teams in her native Brazil, Fabiana has played for Sporting de Huelva of Spain's Primera División and WFC Rossiyanka of the Russian Top Division.
Adhemar Ferreira da Silva was a Brazilian triple jumper. He won two Olympic gold medals and set four world records, the last being 16.56 metres in 1955 Pan American Games. In his early career he also competed in the long jump, placing fourth at the 1951 Pan American Games. He broke world records in triple jump on five occasions during his illustrious career. Up to date, he remains as the only track and field athlete from South America to have won two Olympic gold medals. He also had close association with Czech veteran long distance runner Emil Zátopek for over 50 years.

Khalid Yahya Rushaka was the first Tanzanian to participate in the Olympics as a swimmer. His countrymen know Rushaka as the "Tanzanian Dolphin," for his legendary abilities in the water. "The remarkable story of how he learnt to swim and rose to fame is legendary. His father, Yahya Rushaka, was one of the sole survivors of the Mv Bukoba ferry disaster on Lake Victoria in 1996 that claimed a thousand lives. It was his father who encouraged Khalid to learn to swim from the stories he used to tell of the brave men who saved many lives because they could swim. His father inspired him to pursue a career in swimming. Rushaka coached himself with the help of youtube videos. He progressed quickly through the ranks and the Tanzianian Olympic Committee chose him to represent the nation. He specialized in sprint freestyle events. Rushaka represented Tanzania at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's 50 m freestyle. He finished third in the third heat by forty-five hundredths of a second (0.45) ahead of 13-year-old Seychellois swimmer Dwayne Didon, with a time of 28.50 seconds. Rushaka, however, failed to advance into the semi-finals by 6.37 seconds.
