Face2Face Africa is a media company based in New York, U.S. The company's online portal reports on Global Black news and current affairs covering topics such as politics, entertainment, and culture. Face2Face Africa holds events, such as the 30 Black Stars Conference & Awards, the Pan-African Weekend, the FACE List Awards Gala, the IAAPA Networking Mixer Series and the Pan-African Women Forum. Face2Face Africa was launched in 2011 in New York City by two Ghanaian-Americans, Isaac O. Babu-Boateng and Sandra Appiah, to address the lack of racial representation in the digital media industry. In the same year they were featured in Forbes "30 Under 30: Africa’s Best Young Entrepreneurs". [2] [3]
Face2Face Africa primarily serves and reaches a global audience of people of African descent, which includes Africans, Black-Americans, Caribbean-Americans, and Afro-Europeans. [4] [5]
Face2Face Africa hosts several events throughout the year. The company's networking mixer IAAPA is the longest running quarterly networking mixer series for pan-African professionals in New York City. Notable personalities such as Dr. Mo Ibrahim, [6] Mimi Alemayehou, [7] Alek Wek, Boris Kodjoe, Rev. Al Sharpton, [7] Masai Ujiri, Wyclef Jean, Femi Kuti, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Rosa Whitaker, [8] Vanessa De Luca, Marcus Samuelsson, [9] Serge Ibaka, and others have been honored at the FACE List Awards, the company’s annual pan-African achievement awards. Alfred Charles Sharpton Jr. is an American civil rights and social justice activist, Baptist minister, politician, radio talk show host, and TV personality, who is also the founder of the National Action Network civil rights organization. In 2004, he was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. presidential election. He hosts a weekday radio talk show, Keepin' It Real, which is nationally syndicated by Urban One, and he is a political analyst and weekend host for MSNBC, hosting PoliticsNation.
Lynette Woodard is a retired American basketball Hall of Fame player and former head women's basketball coach at Winthrop University. Woodard made history by becoming the first female member of the Harlem Globetrotters and who, at age 38, began playing as one of the oldest members in the newly formed American women's professional basketball league, the WNBA.

Kwame Akroma-Ampim Kusi Anthony Appiah is a British American philosopher and writer who has written about political philosophy, ethics, the philosophy of language and mind, and African intellectual history. Appiah was the Laurance S. Rockefeller University Professor of Philosophy at Princeton University, before moving to New York University (NYU) in 2014. He holds an appointment at the NYU Department of Philosophy and NYU's School of Law. Appiah was elected President of the American Academy of Arts and Letters in January 2022.

Ruth E. Carter is an American costume designer for film and television. She is best known for her collaborations with Spike Lee, John Singleton, and Ryan Coogler. During her film career, Carter has been nominated four times for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design, for her work on Lee's biographical film Malcolm X (1992), Steven Spielberg's historical drama film Amistad (1997), and winning twice for Coogler's Marvel superhero films Black Panther (2018) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). She was the first African-American to win and be nominated for Best Costume Design and the first Black woman to win multiple Academy Awards in any category. Her other film credits include Do the Right Thing (1989), What's Love Got to Do with It (1993), Love & Basketball (2000), Serenity (2005), The Butler (2013), Selma (2014), Marshall (2017), Dolemite Is My Name (2019), and Coming 2 America (2021).
Ibrahim Anyars Tanko is a Ghanaian retired footballer who played mostly as a second striker or an attacking midfielder, scout and manager who last served as the head coach of the local Black Stars - Ghana A' national football team.
Sir Mohammed Fathi Ahmed Ibrahim is a Sudanese-British billionaire businessman. He worked for several telecommunications companies, before founding Celtel, which when sold had over 24 million mobile phone subscribers in 14 African countries. After selling Celtel in 2005 for $3.4 billion, he set up the Mo Ibrahim Foundation to encourage better governance in Africa, as well as creating the Ibrahim Index of African Governance, to evaluate nations' performance. He is also a member of the Africa regional advisory board of London Business School.
Jackie Appiah is a Canadian-born Ghanaian actress. For her work as an actress, she has received several awards and nominations, including the awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards; and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2007. She received two nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Upcoming Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008. Glitz Africa Honors Her with Excellence in Creative Art Award at Ghana Women of the Year Honors 2023. She is a movie producer, fashion model and a humanitarian.
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is an African foundation founded by Sudanese-British businessman and philanthropist, Mo Ibrahim. Headquartered in London and Dakar, the Foundation was established in 2006 as a non-grant making organisation. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! is a company founded by executive producer, businesswoman, celebrity DJ, and former model Beverly Bond. The company hosts an annual award show of the same name that honors and promotes Black women's achievements. BLACK GIRLS ROCK! also has a nonprofit arm that teaches leadership skills and develops confidence in teenage girls through its annual "BLACK GIRLS LEAD" conference.
Karrueche Tran is an American actress and model. From 2013 to 2016, she starred as Vivian Johnson in the web series The Bay. For producing the series, she won two Daytime Emmy Awards. Her return to The Bay for its sixth season garnered her the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program at the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards. Her win made her the first person of Asian Pacific American descent to win an Emmy for Lead Actress or Actor. Tran also starred as Virginia Loc on the TNT series Claws.
Stay Woke: The Black Lives Matter Movement is a 2016 American television documentary film starring Jesse Williams about the Black Lives Matter movement, and the events that led to the uprising of the movement. The phrase "stay woke" refers to a continuing awareness of issues concerning social justice and racial justice and came to widespread use as a result of Black Lives Matter. The "Stay Woke" documentary gives a deeper understanding to how the movement came to be and what the movement believes.
Sandra Appiah is the co-founder of media company Face2face Africa, where she served as CEO from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, she launched PanaGenius Inc. With Face2face Africa as its flagship brand, PanaGenius reaches over 2 million users each month via its online platforms and engages thousands more via events such as the Pan-African Weekend Conference in New York City and the national 30 Black Stars Conference & Awards.
