Fahad Usman is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He played for Pakistan national under-19 cricket team during the 1995-96 season. Fahad Usman played one first-class match for Karachi Whites in the 1997–98 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy before emigrating to the United Arab Emirates. He later continued his first-class career with one game for the UAE in the 2004 ICC Intercontinental Cup and two games in the 2005 version of the competition. The 2004–05 ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup was the first edition of the ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup, a domestic Twenty20 tournament in Pakistan. It was held from 25 to 30 April 2005 in Lahore. The Faisalabad Wolves won the tournament by defeating the Karachi Dolphins in the final. As the winners, the Faisalabad Wolves were invited to compete in the International 20:20 Club Championship in September 2005, which they won.

Multan Sultans is a Pakistani professional Twenty20 franchise cricket team representing the city of Multan in southern Pakistan in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team was founded in 2017 as an additional sixth team added to the PSL. The team plays its home matches at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Haris Rauf is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in January 2020. He made his Twenty20 debut for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy on 5 October 2018. In November 2018, he was selected by the Lahore Qalandars in the players' draft for the 2019 Pakistan Super League tournament. He made his Test debut against England in December 2022.

The first Test and the T20I matches were played at Old Trafford, and the second and third Test matches were played at the Rose Bowl. All of the fixtures were played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2020–21 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was a first-class domestic cricket competition that took place in Karachi, Pakistan, from 25 October 2020 to 5 January 2021. Central Punjab cricket team were the defending champions. Central Punjab started their title defence poorly, with no wins from their first five matches. Despite being bottom in the table at the half-way point of the tournament, they won four of the next five matches to finish second in the table, advancing to the final with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
