A Letter for Tomorrow is an open letter first published on 3 May 2004, by then-President of Iran Mohammad Khatami, addressing Iranian citizens, especially the youth. The letter was later published as a book by Khatami Culture House Institute. He promised to write the letter at a 27 April 2004 meeting with youth.

"Iran and Red and Black Colonization" was an article written by Ahmad Rashidi Motlagh published in Ettela'at newspaper on 7 January 1978. The article was used to attack Ruhollah Khomeini, described as an Indian Sayyed, who later founded the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The second Iranian Assembly of Experts election was held on October 8, 1990 to elect all 83 members in 24 constituencies. The election was the first election of the assembly since Ayatollah Khomeini's death and election of Ali Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader. In the elections for the seventh Majlis, systematically rigged by the military and Interior ministry, handpicked representatives of Reza Shah were chosen to the parliament to ensure the exclusion of recalcitrants and "unsuitable candidates who insisted on running found themselves either in jail or banished from their localities".

Progress Party or Party for Progress was a fascist political party in Iran led by Abdolhossein Teymourtash, described as the "spurious" party of government and functioning as a "vehicle for executing royal intentions" of Reza Shah.

Iran-e-No Party was a short-lived fascist and anticlerical party in Iran of which the motto was "loyalty to the Shah and devotion to progress." The party was cofounded by Abdolhossein Teymourtash in an attempt to form a one-party state. Among the founders were General Morteza Yazdanpanah and the private secretary of Reza Shah, Faraj Allah Bahrami.

Iranian Democrat Party or Democrat Party of Iran was a short-lived political party in Iran, founded in 1946 and led by Ahmad Qavam. It was the most important party formed by the old Qajar nobility, and an association of aristocrats and anti-British radical intellectuals. With the fall of Qavam, it disintegrated in 1948.

Parliamentary elections were held in Iran in 1939, throughout the month of July and most of August. They were the last elections held during the reign of Reza Shah and were not considered free.
