Fame House is a Philadelphia-based digital marketing and e-commerce agency, with satellite offices in Los Angeles and New York City, [1] that specializes in direct-to-consumer services for the music and entertainment industries, focused on building, marketing, managing, and monetizing its clients' online presence. [2] [ verification needed ] Founded by Michael Fiebach in 2011 following years working for DJ Shadow, [3] the company was acquired by SFX Entertainment in 2013 for an undisclosed sum, [4] [5] and is the first company to monetize music through BitTorrent [6] [7] [8] (as a result of which, Music Ally named it one of the Top 40 Music Industry Disruptors for 2013). [9] In 2015, Philadelphia (magazine) named Fame House one of Philly's 20 Coolest Companies. [10]

On May 27, 2016, Universal Music Group announced that it had acquired Fame House from SFX Entertainment, following SFX's filing for Chapter 11. UMG announced that Mike Fiebach would remain as CEO, and Eric Hahn would become the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, and that they would report into Boyd Muir, UMG's Executive Vice President and CFO, and Michele Anthony, Executive Vice President. According to Fame House, they claim to have begun with clients such as DJ Shadow, and Pretty Lights, and further claim to have worked with artists such as Eminem. [13]

Eminem's manager, Paul Rosenberg, refers to Fame House as a "nimble, cutting-edge company to support our online marketing, social media, and merchandising endeavors." [2] [ verification needed ]

Following the acquisition of Fame House by UMG, the company has continued to expand, including work with Justin Bieber's e-commerce operation. Philly.com wrote an article following the acquisition, exploring Fame House's place in the expanding Philly music and startup scene. [1]

Eric Hahn, the CMO of Fame House, was named as Drexel University's Young Alumni Entrepreneur Award in 2015 for his work with Fame House. [14]

In 2016, Fame House was chosen as a Philadelphia Future 50 company by SmartCEO Magazine. These awards are given to the fastest-growing mid-sized companies in the region. [15]

Doug Morris is an American record executive. He is the current chairman of 12Tone Music Group. He previously served as chairman and CEO of the Universal Music Group from 1995 to 2011 and Sony Music Entertainment from 2011 to 2017.

Lucian Grainge

Sir Lucian Charles Grainge is the chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Music Group. The company was formed in June 2012 as SFX Entertainment—the new incarnation of Sillerman's previous company of the same name, which was sold to Clear Channel Communications in 2000 and later spun-off as Live Nation in 2005.

The Committee is an EDM event production group founded in 2006 as Committee Entertainment by Sebastian Solano, Paul Campbell, Lukasz Tracz, and Patryk Tracz. Michael Fiebach is an American entrepreneur and businessman; he is the founder of Fame House, an e-commerce and digital marketing agency focused on the music industry with clients such as Eminem, Tiesto, Pearl Jam, Ice Cube, and Amanda Palmer. Fiebach sold Fame House to SFX Entertainment in 2013 for an undisclosed sum. In May of 2016, Universal Music Group acquired Fame House from SFX, and Fiebach remained as the CEO. Fiebach worked for the electronic music producer DJ Shadow from 2006–2010, running his online operation and merchandise business. Fiebach wrote a series of blog entries for Hypebot.com about his experience touring with DJ Shadow in 2010.

MCA Music (Philippines)

MCA Music Inc. is a Philippine regional branch of the multinational Universal Music Group. The company retains the MCA name on legal purposes because of a trademark dispute with an unrelated label known as Universal Records, which preempted the rights to the word "Universal" for recorded music in the Philippines. However, the company has adopted the moniker "MCA/Universal", just like the US home video unit of Universal Pictures from 1990-1997, to simplify identification, even though no formal "Universal" branding is exercised. Despite the naming, the label is known outside the Philippines as Universal Music Philippines.
