The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), also known as the Shanghai Pact, is an Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance. It is the world's largest regional organisation in geographic scope and population, covering three-fifths of the Eurasian continent, 40% of the world population, and more than 20% of global GDP.
The Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP) or the Turkistan Islamic Movement (TIM), formerly known as the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) and other names, is a Uyghur Islamic extremist organization founded in Western China. CIMMYT is one of the 15 CGIAR centers. CIMMYT is known for hosting the world's largest maize and wheat genebank at its headquarters in Mexico.

Hinduism is the second largest religious affiliation in Pakistan after Islam. While hundreds of years ago, Hinduism was the dominant faith in the region, today Hindus account for 2.14% of Pakistan's population or 4.44 million people according to the 2017 Pakistan Census, although the Pakistan Hindu Council claims there are around more than 8 million in Pakistan.
The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) with staff in more than 20 countries and operations in more than 70 countries. It was founded in 1987 by Daniel Katz, an American environmental activist, who serves as the chair of the board of directors. The NGO states that its mission is “to create a more sustainable world by using social and market forces to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities.” Its work includes the provision of an environmental certification for sustainability in agriculture. In parallel to its certification program, the Rainforest Alliance develops and implements long-term conservation and community development programs in a number of critically important tropical landscapes where commodity production threatens ecosystem health and the well-bring of rural communities.

The Balochistan Liberation Army, also known as the Baloch Liberation Army, is a militant organization based in Afghanistan. The War in Afghanistan was a conflict that took place from 2001 to 2021 in the central Asian country of Afghanistan. It began when the United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan and toppled the Taliban-ruled Islamic Emirate. The war ended with the Taliban regaining power after a 19 years and 10 months-long insurgency against allied NATO and Afghan Armed Forces. It was the longest war in United States history, surpassing the Vietnam War (1955–1975) by approximately five months.

Hafiz Usman Abdul Qadir Khan is a Pakistani cricketer. He was part of the bronze-medal-winning team at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in November 2020.
Mohammad Rizwan is a Pakistani international cricketer who has represented Pakistan in international cricket since 2015. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who has scored centuries in all three international formats: Tests, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. He is the vice-captain of the Pakistan cricket team in test cricket. He played for Lahore Qalandars from 2016 to 2017, from 2018 to 2020 for Karachi Kings and currently plays and captains Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super League. He captains Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in domestic cricket.
The 2020 Vermont gubernatorial election was held on November 3, 2020, to elect the Governor of Vermont. As Vermont does not impose term limits upon its governors, incumbent Republican Governor Phil Scott was eligible to run for reelection to a third two-year term in office. On November 18, 2019, he confirmed that he was running for reelection, but did not yet publicly announce his campaign. On May 28, 2020, he officially announced his candidacy but stated that he would not campaign, maintain a campaign staff, or fundraise because of the state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Vermont. The primary was held on August 11. Scott won re-election to a third term, defeating Progressive and Democratic nominee, Lieutenant Governor David Zuckerman. Scott's 41% victory margin was the largest in the state's gubernatorial election since 1996, and the largest for a Republican candidate since 1950.
The 2020–2021 Indian farmers' protest is an ongoing protest against three farm acts that were passed by the Parliament of India in September 2020. The acts, often called the Farm Bills, have been described as "anti-farmer laws" by many farmer unions, and politicians from the opposition who say it would leave farmers at the "mercy of corporates". The farmers have also demanded the creation of a minimum support price (MSP) bill, to ensure that corporates cannot control the prices. The union government, however, maintains that the laws will make it effortless for farmers to sell their produce directly to big buyers, and stated that the protests are based on misinformation. Related endemic legacy issues include farmer suicides and low farmer incomes. Despite India being largely self-sufficient in foodgrain production and having welfare schemes, hunger and nutrition remain serious issues, with India ranking as one of the worst countries in the world in food security parameters.
