Fausto De Amicis (born 26 June 1968) is an Australian former soccer player. He was a member of the Australian national team that scored a record 31 goals against American Samoa in a FIFA World Cup qualifier. [1] Overall, De Amicis was involved in four National Soccer League title winning sides, twice with the Melbourne Knights, and twice with South Melbourne. In the latter's 1998 Grand Final win over Carlton, De Amicis was awarded the Joe Marston Medal for best afield.
De Amicis made his debut for Australia against Chile in February 1998, at the age of 29. [2] [3]

After the departure of Moreland Zebras senior head coach Danny Gnjidic at the end of the 2016 NPL2 West season, the club appointed former player De Amicis as the new manager. [4]

Green Gully Soccer Club is an Australian association football club based in Melbourne, Victoria. Green Gully is one of the largest clubs in Melbourne, having participated in the now defunct National Soccer League between 1984–1986. Brunswick Zebras Football Club is an Australian semi-professional association football (soccer) club that is based in the northern Melbourne suburb of Brunswick East. The 1998 National Soccer League Grand Final was held on 16 May 1998 between South Melbourne and Carlton SC at Olympic Park Stadium. South Melbourne gained home advantage as they won the major semi-final against them two weeks prior. John Anastasiadis scored in the ninth minute for South Melbourne as they went up 1–0 at the half time break. In the 78th minute, Marcus Stergiopoulos netted a goal for Carlton to equalise, however, an 87th minute winner from Con Boutsianis clinched the victory for South Melbourne, gifting them their third NSL championship. Fausto De Amicis won the Joe Marston Medal.
