Steve Huey of AllMusic rated Force of Nature three out of five stars. He found that "there doesn't seem to be much here that will truly separate Tank from the rest of an already crowded R&B pack, but Force of Nature is well-crafted enough for its Top Ten status to make sense." [2] Entertainment Weekly 's Evan Serpick compared Tank's music on Force of Nature with singer D'Angelo: "But while D'Angelo — with his jazz riffs and vocal subtlety — oozes sexy cool, Tank steamrolls listeners with his leaden beats and showy Mariah-esque gyrations." [3]
Force of Nature debuted and peaked at number 7 on the US Billboard 200 in the week of March 31, 2001, selling 97,000 copies in its first week. [4] It also became Tank's first album to debut at number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. [5] Force of Nature has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). By February 2016, it had sold 775,000 copies in United States. [6]

Aaliyah is the third and final studio album by American R&B singer Aaliyah. It was released on July 7, 2001, by Blackground Records and Virgin Records. Because of its packaging design, it is also known as "The Red Album".
JoJo is the debut studio album by American singer JoJo, released on June 22, 2004, by Da Family Entertainment, Blackground Records, and Universal Records. Incorporating pop and R&B, JoJo was influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Brown, and Aretha Franklin. The duo recorded the album at the Chicago Recording Company in Chicago periodically from January 1993 until early 1994.

"Please" is a song by American recording artist Toni Braxton. It was written by Scott Storch, Makeba Riddick, Vincent Herbert, and Kameron Houff for her fifth studio album, Libra (2005), while production was chiefly helmed by Storch. One out of several songs on the album to feature a more hard-edged production, "Please" is a spare, mid-tempo R&B and hip hop song with a heavy bottom and zippy strings. Lyrically, it talks about how to handle a temptation in a relationship.

Though nominally the debut solo album by hip-hop/R&B producer Timbaland, the LP is technically a compilation of tracks produced by Timbaland and often – though not strictly – featuring his vocals. A litany of guest stars appear on Tim's Bio, from Timbaland's "Swing Mob" partners Magoo, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Playa, and Skillz, to outside performers Nas, Jay-Z, Twista and others.
