France Bleu Picardie is one of the public service regional radio stations of France Bleu. It serves the departments of Somme, most of Oise and Aisne, and is also accessible in the south of Pas-de-Calais. [1]

History

The station began broadcasting in 1985 under the name Radio France Picardie before the creation of France Bleu in 2000.

Since May 2016, France Bleu Picardie has been broadcasting its programs in Beauvais and northern Oise. [2]

1922 Picardie mid-air collision

The 1922 Picardie mid-air collision took place on 7 April 1922 over Picardie, France, involving British and French passenger-carrying biplanes. The midair collision occurred in foggy conditions. A British aircraft flying from Croydon to Paris with only mail on board collided with a French aircraft flying three passengers from Paris to Croydon, which resulted in seven deaths.

Persan–Beaumont station

The Persan–Beaumont station is a railway station in Persan, France, near Beaumont-sur-Oise. It is at the junction of the Épinay-Villetaneuse–Le Tréport-Mers railway and the Pierrelaye–Creil railway. The station is served by trains of the Transilien line H and the TER Hauts-de-France. Since it is the last station before Picardy, the STIF fare structures no longer apply beyond it except on trains linking Pontoise and Creil.

Beauvais station

Beauvais is a railway station located in Beauvais in the Oise department, France. TER Hauts-de-France trains connect the station to Le Tréport-Mers, Creil and Paris-Nord. The Neo-medieval station building was constructed by Compagnie du Nord in brick and concrete in 1860. The line to Paris is electrified with an alternating current running 25 kV-50 Hz. Other lines run with diesel.

The Parish Church of Our Lady of the Basse Œuvre of Beauvais, is a church at the west end of Beauvais Cathedral. Dating to the 10th century, it represents the Western end. It is the western end of a much longer church which had been Beauvais's cathedral, and was built in the form of a Roman basilica, a style which still characterized the Carolingian era.

Hauts-de-France Administrative region of France

Hauts-de-France is the northernmost region of France, created by the territorial reform of French regions in 2014, from a merger of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy. Its prefecture is Lille. The new region came into existence on 1 January 2016, after regional elections in December 2015. The Communauté d'agglomération du Beauvaisis is a communauté d'agglomération located in the Oise department and in the Hauts-de-France region of France. Its seat is in the town Beauvais. It was created on 1 January 2017 by merger of the former Communauté d'agglomération du Beauvaisis with the Communauté de communes rurales du Beauvaisis, and was expanded with 9 communes from the Communauté de communes de l'Oise Picarde in January 2018. Its area is 539.0 km2. Its population was 102,607 in 2017, of which 56,254 in Beauvais proper.

France Bleu Saint-Étienne Loire, sometimes referred to as France Bleu Saint-Étienne, is a generalist radio station broadcasting from Saint-Étienne. It is the youngest of the France Bleu stations, beginning broadcasting on September 9, 2013. The local headquarters are in Saint-Étienne in the Manufacture Plaine Achille, near the studios of France 3.
