GTR Evolution is an expansion pack to Race 07 developed by SimBin Studios (later Sector3 Studios), published by Atari in Europe and Viva Media in the United States. It was released worldwide for digital download on Steam on September 1, 2008. It is also available for purchase in many countries in a DVD boxed version. [1] [2] [3]

Gameplay

GTR Evolution adds several new cars, such as Audi R8 or Koenigsegg CCX, and tracks including variants of Nürburgring. [4] Overall, the game has around 20 real-world tracks, along with different car variations separated in 12 classes. [5] There is a newly added Arcade mode, which doesn't include qualifying races. [6] The weather during the matches is dynamic, and can change from rain to sunlight. [7] A steering wheel with force feedback is supported with a number of customization settings (button assignments, strength of the feedback, dead zone). Each of the vehicles has individual characteristics that is visible while driving. As well as a cockpit view, a helmet perspective is used in some cases like Formula 3000. [8] After the installation, GTR Evolution can be played either as a standalone expansion or as a full game that contains Race 07. [9]

Reception

On its release, GTR Evolution was met with "generally favorable" reviews from critics, with an aggregate score of 83% on Metacritic. [13]

Simulated racing or racing simulation, commonly known as simply sim racing, are the collective terms for racing game software that attempts to accurately simulate auto racing, complete with real-world variables such as fuel usage, damage, tire wear and grip, and suspension settings. To be competitive in sim racing, a driver must understand all aspects of car handling that make real-world racing so difficult, such as threshold braking, how to maintain control of a car as the tires lose traction, and how properly to enter and exit a turn without sacrificing speed. GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game is a sports car racing simulator developed by Blimey! Games and SimBin Studios and published by 10tacle Publishing in 2006 for the x86 PC. it is a sequel to GTR. Not only the game simulates the official 2003 and 2004 FIA GT Championship racing series, but also open practice, race weekend, championships, time trials, endurance race events and Driving school, with more than 140 high detailed cars from the GT and NGT classes as well as 34 different track-layouts. Since its release in September 2006, the game has received widespread acclaim. Extending the physics engine from GTR, it features realistic physics including steering command by sensitivity, dynamic lighting, damage modeling and 3 different game modes.

The game provides a selection of free-to-play race cars and tracks to drive in multiplayer and single player games modes. Sponsored competitions and other free-to-play events allow users to use premium game content at no cost.

Fourteen expansion packs have been released for the 2014 life simulation video game The Sims 4, the fourth major title in The Sims series. All expansion packs are developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, for the Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Expansion packs tend to focus on major new features, with many objects, clothes, styles, worlds and life states are geared towards the pack's major theme. The first expansion pack, Get to Work, was released on March 31, 2015. The most recent expansion pack, Horse Ranch, was released on July 20, 2023.
